Tired of trimming fenders or looking for that aggressive look? :laugh3:

Get beer.

Maybe install an engine but that's not important.
I'm a horrible procrastinator; I haven't bought a single beer yet.

The engine isn't going to happen; a boy must have his priorities.

For the people who have never been there and are going to be camping, Any thing (outside the obvious) that we should bring? How about the available resources in the area Gas, mini mart, Fire wood, etc?

It's a half hour to the nearest gas station/mini mart, so plan accordingly.

If you're tenting, make sure you've got good stakes & tie downs.

Bring fire wood if ya got it, but no pallets or wood with nails.

I have a habit of ripping them off on the trail. It nis just easier to pull them off before I get to the trail.

Bring everything you need. You won't want to take the time to run into town for supplies.

Last weekend to wrench, hope everyone's about ready.

The rocks are calling...

See you guys next weekend. I dunno whether I am gettting there Friday night after work or Saturday morning. All I "need" to do is grease the driveshafts and re-bleed the brakes. There is some more small stuff, but that can wait til after.

I still have to install the newly made track bar brace, bolt up the steering brace, put a new gasket in the exhaust flange, fix a bad connection on the hot wire to the ignition, and grease the driveline u-joints. Should all be done tonight when I get off work.

Then, buy the grubb for next weekend (Mon eve), load up the Jeep and all the stuff (Tues morn), and finally leave for JV Wed right after work.

I'm ready to get my butt to the desert..... :D :D

I just finished relocating my shocks...4 inches higher, and cut off the old mounts. :D Also made the hitch mount setup for my clay pigeon thrower...bring you shotgun and your wallet. Thats the good news. The only thing I have left before JV is to fix my roof rack...which doesn't like the 33 sitting on it. I also need to get new rubber for the trailer.

I WILL HAVE ALL THE WOOD FOR SATURDAY NIGHT(a whole trailer full). Enough for three nights. Bring wood at your own risk. Also...anyone who wants the leftovers can take whatever they can carry.

See you guys there.

We'll just need more Sobe bottles.........

:D

I have a chevy citation that I can donate to the fire... :explosion

As a custom cabinet maker, I have scraps of every kind of kiln dried hardwoood available in the US :) . I'll hold off bringing the usual amount if that much firewood is already being brought. However, I will at least bring down some Hickory -- it makes the store bought burgers taste a little better. My buddies joke about our $1K fires when we camp since we're burning Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, Walnut, Hickory, Alder, Poplar, etc... :sunshine:

See ya'll down there!

Hey, now mine runs decently much of the time, and it steers. What more can I ask?

I'm down to an oil change myself.
