To do before Johnson Valley

This should be fun.........

Johnson Valley is really good at finding the weaknesses in newly done modifications.

I forgot to mention I am getting the tow rig ready too. :laugh3:

Will the new rig be there ?

I hope so. I REALLY dont think it will be ready to run anything too crazy as I wont have to regeared or locked due to time / money issues. But i'd like to have it out there to cycle the suspension and beat on it a bit.

Real items on my list.

e350 MC
redo hardlines for brakes
soft lines front and rear
drum to disc convert on the eaton
hub bearings on the D44
all new brake hardware for D44
shocks for rear

Things i'd LIKE to get done, but know i will never be able to.

5.13's w/ ARB for the front (eaton has factory detroit, just need to get the 3rd w/ the 5.13s)
run air lines for ARB

Before i even get it back home to start on the above the steering needs to be done, and rear axle needs to be fitted. I'm stoked about how everything looks though. Jim did such a fawking killer job.

Oh, I almost forgot!
I still have to fab up my square drive shaft.

You sure you want to do that?

I hear Crash is a real meanie and will make you cry.

So a reverand and the Mexican guy walk into a bar...

Sounds like the start of a bad joke :speepin:

1. Mount and hook up ARB compressor.

2. Plumb rear ARB line to the compressor.

3. Figure out rear brake line leak after rear axle swap. I think my double flare job on the hard line was bad.

4. Hook up rear e-brake

5. Mount York compressor.

6. Collect some spare parts.

7. Get a couple of new CD's for the ride down and back.

So, Jes, new t-case? What's becoming of the "old" one??? :)

Gawddamnit!!!!

I almost wish I wasn't going on that cruise.

Shit!!!

I still have an unlinked lower shock mount on the front drivers side (i.e. broken & twisted metal axle mount in need of welding), and the obsolete 33's (tire envy), and little chance to get near the XJ before December. I have a few chores to complete.

Other than dealing with the needs of the XJ (that are delayed again), I will be spending that weekend deciding what kind of beer to choose from while watching the Baja 1000 from the San Felipe side of Picacho del Diablo.

Have a good time in JV.
