In the last month I have done...

Detroit in rear
Yukon Shafts in front and rear
tcase skid...made
gas tank skid...made
new CB antaenna
Removed AAL
Installed Shackles
Improved bumper mount to make winch usable
Installed Tcase with SYE
Tuned Up Motorcycle :)

Still to do...

Fix temp. gauge
Rock Rails..make my own
steering skid
shorten driveshaft

I've removed my steering box, removed the tie rod and drag link, and made the track bar mount brace (still needs paint). I have the new tie rod nearly finished, just need to weld one bead and paint it. Still need to:

Fix multiple cracks on inside of track bar frame mount

Install track bar brace

Install newly rebuilt steering box, drill top edge of frame for fourth bolt and weld in sleeve

Install new drag link and tie rod and do alignment

Install hydraulic ram, weld tabs and get hoses made up

Drill out three broken bead lock bolts

Get new ignition switch installed so it will run!!

AND, I'm going out of town this week/weekend with my wife, and I work the following weekend. So, it all must be done after work next week. :D

Mine is still pretty long but I am knocking them out slowly. Other problems like distributors keep getting in the way of progress.

I figured you would be out of long sticks for grabbing keys :laugh3:

Ignored the XJ today. Sure is nice not to have any money. I have nothing to upgrade!

Climb far enough up Toyo's skirt(with sharp objects)to get my @*$&#!! spare:exclamati

Spent past couple of days at SEMA....
in between all the other crap I have to do,

Got my new 35"s mounted on Tuesday.

I still need to:
split my t-case and reseal the halves together (don't ask)
add some lift to the rear of my rig
install new front coils and trim like hell to clear the 35"s
put in my t-case skid (weld)
maybe make new lower control arms
install RE HD track bar and brace
make some frame sliders cuz last time in JV I beat mine up pretty bad.

oh and...
at the same time I need to regear a TJ with an OX rear, a ZJ, pull a detroit out of a D35 and rebuild it, build a TJ D44 rear and ship it, sort through all the stuff I got at SEMA and follow up to the meetings I had.
should I go on :banghead:

My list is getting shorter. I did have to postpone some of the stuff until way after JV.

1. Make/install limiting strap (still doing research on that)
2. Install old fog lights as rock krawler lights using the OEM fog light switch (doing Sunday)
3. Install Gas Tank Skid (doing Sunday)
4. Install proportioning valve (doing Sunday)
5. Install new steering box, steering shaft and steering pump (at the same time as doing #4) (doing Sunday)
6. Replace O2 sensor (doing Sunday)
7. Purchase and install winch (9000lb winch) (Hopefully Monday)

No, just get to work.

:D

T-case installed.
Ran into one minor issue. The yoke on the 32 spline front output sticks out a little farther than the old 27 spline unit and as a result I had to shorten my front shaft a little. One cut at the slip splines with the chop saw was all it needed.

Got all my ARB crap for the rear taken care of. E-brake got installed last night. New rear brake line is in the mail. CO2 tank aquired for OBA, regulator in the mail (the York will have to wait till after). Now I'm just collecting the spare parts, and the yards are being unkind as I can't hunt down Waggy inner axles.

Rawbrown, do you take phone calls on Sunday? :)

Splines? I thought you were going with those cool drive shafts...

I'm guessing there will be a plethora of spare 80+ Waggy axles there, both Spicer and alloys. I'll have 2 spare sets of Spicers. You're welcome to any I don't need, and I imagine others will be helpful as well.

You're running alloys and 37s right? got a spare hub too?

Thanks for the offer. I might have to take you up on it if I can't get a hold of anything by then. I like to be as self sufficient as possible, however, so I'll hunt around a little bit more.

Ya, the hubs (*plural*) are taken care of :)

List is really getting short now:

1. Install old fog lights as rock krawler lights using the OEM fog light switch (1/2 Done)

2. Re-install old drive shaft

3. Purchase and install winch (9000lb winch)

4. Install old door (don't ask)

5. Install new O2 Sensor

6. Manufacture 2 brackets for limiting strap, weld on limiting strap brackets and order limiting strap

7. Remove Fenders
