your typical 1 ton XJ build thread

awesome pics! The waterfall one is pretty cool looking.

For your leaf hangers how did you space them off the frame enough to account for however many threads will be coming out of the nylock nut? And where exactly do you tie ins land on the rocker? I need to fix/ move mine.

the leaf hangers are pretty much stock distance off the frame rail. if you look inside the stock ones there is a bump with a nut inside it to offset the leafs, I based mine off that. I accounted for the bolt length byyyy drilling fat holes into the frame rail so I could use a longer bolt. there is just enough room between the frame rail and the hanger for me to fit a nice juicy nylock and see a couple threads, then like 1/2" extra bolt meat is sticking through the frame. it stays nice and snug and trustworthy. I didn't photograph it but I can take a pic if you want.

I tied 1 of the legs to the leaf hanger actually, and 1 near the D pillar, 1 closer to the A pillar. I used 1.5x3 3/16". I only had enough material to do 3 legs but wish I had done 4. I've slammed on them really hard but they're holding strong.

you can kinda see where I cut the floor and placed my tie ins

and bonus picture. because I forgot to post them here

Yeah, I saw the bump and thought about drilling holes for the bolts I just didn't know if you had a scientific way of doing it. Thanks, I need to move my sliders up even with that lip of sheet metal. My drivers one is super bent up and the extra 1.5" of clearance would be kewl. I have to buy 10' minimums unless it is over $6.00 a foot. I wish I had so cal metal prices and more local options.

I am digging the pics. that line does not look like it feels good but I need to hit it up next time I am out there.
