thanks man! I'm about half done with the plating. finishing up my super bracket and slugs tomorrow

I think I picked a decent one haha. and it can be set up for hydro later. I did exactly what you're not supposed to do an split the cost with a good buddy lol. I can't wait to start bending some tube. hope theres not too much of a learning curve. I found a really good write up on how-to

I split the cost of a bender with mike and its worked out great. The thing about a bender is, that you will more than likely not use it frequently. cages, maybe a truss, maybe steering. You wont be doing these things every week or even year. And as long as you trust the guy. Other high frequency of use items , maybe not a good idea, but for many folks a bender is rarely used and probably not a bad thing to split costs on, and the JD2 is a killer awesome bender. .

sweet deal man. I'm just waiting for it to get here

what do you guys think? crossover or T-link? using all 7/8 heims

crossover: drag link is nice and flat but does not match my panhard angle or length. easier to set up
T-link: panhard and drag are the same length but the drag link angle is more harsh.

this is pretty much ride height

With the hi steer arms I wouldn't worry about the angle so much. Can you flip the tie rod on top of the arms or does it interfere ?

I can flip it above the arms but was kinda wanting to avoid that because the ram will then be mounted below the tie rod. I'd rather keep the ram and the tie rod on equal planes just in case a rock does find it's way up there.

Good call. It make a skid for the ram .

It's hard to tell from the photos, but is there enough room to turn to the stops without the tie rod hitting the diff cover? My set-up is similar to what you have pictured and I get a little bump steer. Not much and it seems to depends on how I hit the bumps, straight on dips don't bother it at all tho, and it still drives fine at 70 on the freeway.

yeah the pics are decieving but it actually clears no problem stop-stop.
I figured either set up would be fine but I had a little time before installing the drag link (ruffstuff gave my 3 right hand heims and only 1 left hand) so I figured I'd ask you guys

mine does 70 on the freeway as well. basically does anyone have any reason NOT to go with T-link?

You wont be out a whole lot of money if you try it and could possibly carry it as a trail spare on long trips. I say do it. Honestly, I plan on doing the T link when Eventually go hi steer, I figure a couple hundred bucks at ruffstuff is the worst case scenario for it. I think with a tall lift and a UTK tie rod on stock knuckles you run into issues. with high steer the drag link angle is much less severe and I think it will be fine. Plus it will be nice to have the track bar same length.
