your typical 1 ton XJ build thread

I prefer a higher tire pressure, higher diff clearance, high speed

hmmm coilovers or ORI's...

i really like my ori's.
i tend to run 6-8 lbs in my 42" pitbull rockers, but have burped the inner bead a few times.

Tire pressure is not that critical at moonrocks. Its like moab. The rocks are like sandpaper usually.

you sneaking behind my back and wheeling moonrocks without me man? :)

I've researched it very extensively. ORI's make the most sense on a crawler. unfortunately I want to go fast. so I'm thinking it's CO's and red labels or treps

I want the new 42" sticky trep that is supposed to come out later this year. That is going to be a badass tire. But it will also be heavy as hell and like 4k plus for all 4 new... I think the online price of sticky 40's is $3500.

Jake dont sell it dude.! Keep it and wheel it and build a second rig. Wheeling is life

yeah I saw reds do pretty poorly in muddy conditions recently. doesn't look like the best east side tire. too bad I'm not ready to make the jump to 39's yet

Jon I haven't gotten one single offer on it yet. not even a low ball. so it looks like I might be stuck with it!

Jake keep it ! Its a sick rig! Just accept it for what it is .

What were you going to replace it with?

probably would've gone without a rig for a year or two

can't accept it for what it is. it needs more upgrades.. or less. maybe yank the axles and rebuild it on a D30/ 8.25. sell the 14 bolt and mothball the 60 until I can afford to build it up

who knows man. I'll probably just flush the transmission and party for the rest of the summer

finally getting back to the jeep after moonrocks. I S shaped a leaf spring, so I got another pair of 56's and fixed that

trans fluid and filter
oil change
air filter
upper rad hose
new power steering lines

then took it out for a whip around prairie city

then there's this. FINALLY some brake upgrades coming. I got the idea from HRDRKN on pirate4x4. and using starboard M's write up I think this should be pretty easy! it is 1.125 bore and 8" diameter. it should bolt up and work much better, especially with the dual diaphragm.

shiny.. but this will have to wait because I'm headed to Rubicon!
