I’ve seriously been in a financial bind the last few months, and it won’t be going away anytime soon unless something major happens for the good. Once I climb out of this hole, I can definitely become more active again.

I disagree, this trail and no trails sucks. The more trails the better.
I went to the AAT meet last Sunday and i really like this trail. Very green and great look out views. Lots of work to keep us busy.
Lmao. I guess you cant see the sarcasm in my text. Ive been on that trail a bunch of times. My friends and i used to run it quiet often. We'd start at palm and go straight up the mountain and cut over all through that area. Im surprised Because i have never really seen anyone on that trail before. Its close enough to me that i would definitely be interested in giving a hand. Sorry for the way the post looked. I was really just being a smartass. I better go check the den. Im sure i got a nomination.

This! I was actually curious to see what the aat program is all about and how our club is involved. What benefits it offers to offroading etc. How it keeps trails from being closed. I knew nothing of this until this thread popped up. Im completely new to all of this club stuff. Dont bash me for asking what some of you think are stupid questions. Theres only one way to learn. I thought it was just a bunch of tree huggers out picking up trash. I would like to be more involved with the club and contribute to something i love and enjoy. I understand some think im a dipshit with a bad attitude but my sense of humor doesnt play out in text i guess. Plus i dont knkw anyone here off of the board so it seems like im trolling around. My jeep is almost back on its wheels and i do plan on being a more active member.

Bringing this to the top... In the other current thread, there are two events coming up, one being a meeting , and the other a "recovery class"... Neither sounds like work maintaining our trails.
Just saying... If you were to post up asking for help with actual WORK, you might get better response's.... Instead of diluting the effort with red tape. Why are AAT effort/resources being wasted teaching people how to use their winches?
Just trying to explain why some may see this as a waste of time... I've never been to any AAT events, due to scheduling/finances, but with events like these posted, why should I give a shit? At least when you guys post about actual WORK needed, I think about what I can do to possibly attend...
Just saying, posting this stuff dilutes any desire to help... AAT should be about putting in work, not meeting at sizzler or whatever...

The classes are a perk to the program. You do earn hours for them as they do relate to what we do out in the forest. They do have some interesting classes that we are able to attend through our relationship with the AAT program, unfortunately I have not been able to attend any due to scheduling conflicts (I move my schedule around more for work days than classes).
The meetings are needed to know what's going on, plus you do learn some interesting stuff.
There are three active threads now, the father's day weekend AAT project is also in play. I need to bump the thread again to get it back on top.

the classes are needed plain and simple. To many people cannot safely recover vehicles. I have seen bad things happen to uneducated people to many times.
