Why won't you do trail maintenance?

IF you're feeling guilty you know you're in the wrong. :flipoff:

Next AAT event is the meeting on Wednesday, June 19. 7:00 PM, Sizzler in Corona. I'd love to see a large gathering there. Plus you get to eat at Sizzler, that stuff is almost edible!

Work day - Not scheduled at this time. Keep watching.

I unfortunately try an limit outings that far out during the week as i do a Friday run to Temecula every week to pick up my kid. But, if money and carpooling permits, i'll show up. Can i ride on your bikes handle bars?

Find someone to work my job and watch my kids and ill have no problem driving out there to lend a hand.

Bingo. I get to "take the Jeep out" 2-3 times a year if I'm lucky. Between work, kids, and wife.... There just isn't much time. I have always wanted to participate in a trail clean up to the point that I put 33" toyo's on my 4x6 utility trailer but have yet to be able to use it. Not to mention $$$$ is way tight right now due to the wife not working to stay home and raise the kids. If I was single with no priorities like I was 10 years ago, I would be there, along with every other 4wheeling trip.

Do we need an all the way South Chapter, I cant afford to drive all over the place.
Corral Canyon is about it in my budget.

I'm a paid member, I don't go to any trail runs.
I pay for the help and advice I have received from these forums and a few members within.

The "Guilt trip" I'm sure will be a great motivational tool. It has worked so well throughout history.

Oh and i just realized that we need a new trail to adopt. 2n49 brings the suck.

Way to be an ass.

With this attitude why would I even bother trying to reach out to you for help, clearly you're not inclined to help the forest out unless you're getting exactly what you want on a silver platter.

Wow bails,
just wow

What a positive attitude to have about the AAT program, and the club by extension.
Not every club can have a Holcomb creek.
especially with our less than impressive participation.

Want a more challenging trail? Lets get the one we have buffed outt, then we might be considered for something more challenging.

Gotta pay them dues

Bails, so are you saying that you would like to adopt another trail as well as the current one because you are not a fan of the existing one? if that is the case by all means make a motion :)

Are you guys really, truly surprised by his post? :roflmao::roflmao::moon:

Lol.

Maybe bails is casual after all

Yeah, what gives? The only way to go is if the trails don't suck? I may have excuses for not going but this surely isn't one of them. How about looking at it as getting out and dong something positive?

Uh... that's a pretty jacked up thing to say about our adopted trail. :dunno: Why don't you go bring it up at the next AAT meeting.

Jacked up indeed. But I doubt he'll attend let alone bring it up. But hey, what do I know.

Stfu noob.

Trail maintenance is trail maintenance. Whether it be Holcomb or any other trail. But yeah, there is no way we are getting anything "cooler" if we don't take care what we already have. To be honest, i think I'd do about the same about of maintenance no matter what trail it was simply cause of my schedule and lack of funds, etc, etc...

Right?

I wanted to say yes but now after my fingers have clicked the keys on my keyboard, I change my answer to No.

Care to explain?

Lucy, you have some ssssplaining to do.

Lol.

It's way too early.....

In my case it's just too far a drive. I'd be there every time I didn't have a schedule conflict otherwise. :anon:

That being said, I've dragged a couple yards of trash, construction/demolition debris, several couches and a few dozen old tires out of the woods over the years I've spent wheeling and exploring abandoned town roads. Best feature of wheeling an MJ, I can haul out anything I can lift without really needing a trailer.

Ken, I've made it to a SoCal trail maintenance day. Distance is just not a good excuse for you. :spin1:
