I'm still in a holding pattern as to whether I will be able to make it. The odds at this moment in time are leaning heavily in the favor of yeah I'll be there, but life keeps throwing curveballs and I'm a fastball hitter!

If you have never been here are some directions from Goatman:
From Backersfield go east on Hwy 58 to I15 at Barstow. Exit I15 at Barstow Rd/Hwy 247, go roughly 30 miles to the stop sign(last chance to get gas), turn left staying on Hwy 247, go 22 miles to Boone Rd (large brown sign on the right), turn left down Boone Rd, drive roughly 4 miles to the lakebed and look for the group on the left as you come onto the lakebed.

One way to look for Boone Rd is that it's right at the end of a real long straight section of the highway, if you make the right hand bend in the road after the long straight-a-way you just missed Boone Rd. That first picture shows it.
If you're coming in the dark, it helps to look for that big white arrow.
