Just remember one thing Lyle...I'm the one who got mud down her pants. She's tainted by the muddy beast now.

You hittin' that, son?;)

Rick if your still having a problem with the coils dropping out make some poor mans limiting straps out of cable and cable clamps from home depot.

-Alex

I was talking about the water crossing. I have a set of shorter shocks that I am going to try. I have some of the materials needs to make some limiting straps but will probably put those on the next XJ.

Are the factory retainer clips gone, Rick? They seem to do the job for most people.

The clips at the base of the spring are so soft. Problem is I lose the spring at the top as well. Then the spring flops over & out. Shorter shocks will work for now & I got cheap ones since they are some what temporary.

Zip ties are your friends. :anon: Or you could just weld the sums of biatches in there...

First time was on 167 going N from Sumner/Puyallup, as the freeway turns. Long straight road for a few miles.

The rest of the times were at the track, 101 to 104 on good days.

Now 138 in the El Camino on 167 was not the brightest of choices. :dunno:

Ours was hovering 120 on Hwy 99. Shots fired call. :D Dumbasses actually going TOWARD the danger. :explosion

Second time was a couple months later on a test run near Hanford. Got a fully loaded Caprice with two occupants up over 150. After that was either riding with friends or straight shots through NM in my old Spirit bouncing off the 120 peg. I dun do that chit anymore. :read:

P.S. Thats a very nice MJ you got there Willy. Is that blue the stock paint? I dont remember that shade being a stock color.

Thanks. It was repainted somewhere along the way before we got it. It was originally maroon.

Willy
