Nov. 23rd Sunday - Shakedown at Reiter

Sure your welcome to join. I know I have 2 zj friends I'm expecting to come (one might or might not...locked up 8" lift, etc.) and it sounds like RRT has some buddies he's bringing. So my head counts right now is 7 rigs after RRT...as long as we don't hit 10 I'm good. Afterall, I'm not exactly planning this to be a "day" run...just 3-4 hours of wheeling...then any random wheeling after that.

~Scott

P.S. Again, this will be a sloppy run...damage likely.

Damage is OK with me as long as my jeep does not leave Reiter looking like this......

(note: I know this picture has been well used but it sure is funny)

I may be able to make this. I picked up a NP242 from George The Jeep, I'll be pulling my old one and swapping my SYE then re-installing it on Saturday. If everything goes well, I may show up Sunday.

That would be awesome if you would roll with us Doug. The rig limit that was in mind kinda went out the window, so we definately wouldnt mind seeing you up there on sunday. Best of luck with the swap!

X2... Been a while & hope to see ya there!

Well my Jeeps toast. She stopped working at school, and I can't get her to start...hopefully I'll still be able to make my own run!

:-/

That is HORRIBLE!

Just a guess, but how old is the crank sensor?

I can't recall if it's new or not...I dont think I've replaced it. Meaning I have no idea...could be the original.

However from what I've read if the CPS is bad...it will still atleast click and try to turn over. Am I wrong?

~Scott

P.S. 206k ftw.

Just got a new starter...heading to school now to replace it.

Put new starter in...Jeep still doesnt crank. Looks like I'll be getting her towed to my house tomorrow, and working frantically to fix it.

Hey Alex, doesn't that sound like a bad ground??

Hahahaha

Exactly why I want to get it home...so I can check everything. Where are the main gounds anyhow? I only really know of the one on the firewall (which wasn't connected when I bought the Jeep). I'm going to do a final run down on the Jeep after school tomorrow to see if I can find anything wrong.

Post up what's going on in the OEM tech forum Scott, you'll get more responses to try and figure out what's wrong.
