Call to arms! (Pit crew, 2013 King of the Hammers)

Have you considered shutting your hood before it rains?

It was! But even when I do have the roof and doors on, water pours out of the dash and up through the floor. With as many rust holes and rotted out seals as it has, nothing is safe.

But seriously my best guess is either the rotted out coil wire is cracked somewhere, or moisture got in the "Premium Quality Igntion Module"

Such a site to see..

There's nothing left to do!

Now I just have to figure out what tools, parts, equipment and spares we need for 10 days in the hammers, find it all and pack it.

Figure out what 3 pits need, buy/find it all and pack it.

Wash and pack 10 days worth of clothing.

Figure out what to eat for 10 days, how to store it, and pack.

And then on to the fun..

2 sleeping bags for me, and a pillow or two.

I am thinking of doing Spiedies Tuesday night, though logistics for a grill is a challenge. Was going to plan enough for most all of us, though I'm not sure how many "all" is.

David Bricker / SYR - leaving in two hours

I will be there to support the team, Count me in for helping in the pits!

California Immigration has asked me to keep an eye on Bricker. He is sending Speedy Sauce across the state line! Maybe we ought to pour some into our gas tanks! That could win a race!

We need a couple BBQs.

Paul - If I meet up with any KOH bound folks *and* I remember I'll pass off the tongs.

Hey! Spiedie sauce has been cleared by the EPA as a non-hazardous substance! The only hazard is when I set the BBQ grills on fire. Though I am not sure of it's octane rating. It could exceed AV gas, and would certainly smell better when burned.

Yes, grills are definitely a need.

Important!!

Our garage location has changed to 116 GenRight Ave. This is closer to Hammertown central and out of the mud. :)

Thank heavens for Matt Adair (IXNAYXJ) who is onsite and was able to take advantage of a booking error which opened up a better garage location. Hopefully things will dry out by next week but it's wet out there right now.

Here is a link to the map of Hammertown so you can see where to look for us at 116 GenRight. We also have a 20x40 tent, so the race car will be inside most of the time. There will be plenty of room in the tent to hang out inside if it gets cold.

Cool!!!

And it won't be much help with Bricker's usual Spiedies' output, but I have my tabletop grill in my Jeep at all times...probably only 1'x2' though.

I may have to bring a bottle of Almond Tequila... Not sure where the party is, but I'll darn well figure it out!

I'd say the party will hover around 3' from that bottle, or visa versa.

Jeeps still cutting out on me, almost didn't make it back from a beer run. Guess I have to tear into the wiring after work tomorrow.

If I can't get it fixed, think a trans am will make it to the lake bed?

I drove a Crown Vic there, I don't think you'd have trouble with a Trans Am.

Whats the location for Thursday night party time? I have mucho celebratory spirit's to serve.

I think a 20x40 tent should handle it, at 116 GenRight Ave. :D

I strictly forbid you to feed that to me this year.

Don't forget some of us are pitting for Rod Kaven in the big race on Friday too, so we can't get totally torn up.. ;)

Bricker.

Do you want me to bring you the hooptie bar thats in my garage right now ?

k.

Yes, Please!! I just had an inquiry about that yesterday, and was starting to try and track it down. Thanks.
