At this pace, I'll have it done sometime next summer...

What are you using for links?

By the way, it's looking like next summer for me too.

Do you have fans for the rad yet? If not I might have something you may want.

As far as the fans go, I'm thinking about the set up that JeeperJohn is using.
FF Engineering? Triple fans.

Scott, its the new 'greener' me. I'm using recycled construction debris where I can...

:D

I'm not giving up on getting it out to the KOH event though.

Save yourself some grief & get 12's for the front.

Paul

I'm not sure grief is the word here. Both mounts (upper and lower) will be custom located (that is to say I gotta' build the damn things anyway) and
I'd like the upper mount to sit above the engine. There will be tie ins there going across the engine bay.
Any reason to stick to 12" travel shocks?

2" from Branik.
I'm thinking about finding a supplier for the tube.
A friend has a full size lathe...

about $225 for 6' of 2" 7075 rod from McMaster Carr. I'm sure you could get it cheaper though. Then it's just a matter of having/buying/borrowing the right taps, and presto,..links!

Assuming you’re building within the same box as most of us, you’ll be limited to 5-6” Comp travel with a 23-34” belly height, at least with your steering junk (ram/tierod) above the axle.
With 12’s this puts you right in the sweet spot with 6-7” droop, I doubt that you want 7-8” droop... I even run limit straps with my 12’s.

+, I have spent a whole lot of time tuning my 12’s/14’s, which could help to save you a wasted weekend or two with the wrong valving/oil level.

That’s the way it looks from here.
