Time to sell. What should I ask for it?

Time has come to let her go to a new home. I've had this Jeep for 17 years and I have no idea what it is worth. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to screw anyone and I also don't want to get screwed. If you guys can help suggest a fair price for all, that would be great. Thanks for the help.

Pics are needed.

Show us the wear on the driver's seat.

Show us the wear on the brake pedal.

Show us the rockers.

Show us the floor pan above the exhaust and the footwells.

Show us the body, all the way around and close shots of all 4 corners.

Those are just some of the examples of the majors. It is one thing if it looks like it has been beat to hell and back. It is very much another thing if it is clear it has been well cared for with attention to details.

What axle gears?

positives- stroker, cage, bumpers, external armor

Negatives - dana 35 on 35's, missing interior pieces, 1988.

With no pics, I'd expect to see that listed around 6500 in the PNW, and be for sale for a bit.

Here are floor and seat pics of Joline. When I first got her, I pulled the old carpet out, sanded and sealed the paint (The black spots are Rust-Oleum Rust Remover Sealer). Then followed by bed lining the floor. A few years later, I added Dynamat to the whole floor. Unfortunately, I can't find a single pic of the Dynamat, but I've attached a firewall pic and an under the rear seat pic. This year I added the carpet kit.

Anything else I'm missing? I really appreciate the help.

Now we're talking.

Body is pretty straight. Upholstery does not appear to be all torn up or stained.

Given the stroker, cage and armor (and what little today's dollar is worth) I think it would be reasonable to ask $10K (or darn close to it).

You might be able to get $7k or $8k but I think that will be hard from what I see on the Colorado market. I would bet the $5.5-6.5k range will be more what people offer you.

You have a lot a good things on the Jeep, especially the Golen and engine accessories. The armor and sliders look really nice. Bumpers look good and appear high quality. The D35 is a major draw back to me and probably will turn a lot of guys off from that kind of money. Not sure if its just the pic, but it looks like the front is sitting way higher that the rear. This is a personal pet peeve of mine. Some guys might like it or not care, but its a hard no from me. Also it seems like its harder to get good money from the older XJs unless they are low mile and bone stock. The old style interior and gauge cluster doesn't do any favors on the resale market compared to the more modern 97-01 interior.

OK, another way to value this is the cost of the stock XJ and then 1/2 the improvement cost. Labor not included. I looked on KBB. Not what it used to be. Came up with $3K for a stock 92.
Then the Golen is at $7,200 base and +$150 for the FCWP. Dynoed? Broken in on a dyno? Bored TB? Whose?
The Full Traction is a bit hard to evaluate. I remember them being one of the premium Long Arms. $2500 I think. Other are on the market now. Say $800 to $1200. Tires % of thread left. 242 SYE? or not? HnT or full SYE? Header's? Cost of bumpers and tire carrier.
6.5", Whose springs, front and rear? Drums on the D35?
So, pluses: Golen, Full Traction, Cage, Armour , lockers. Dynamat. Thats some $$$
Minuses: Missing interior. Backwards rake. Illegal in some states. Yours isn't in the Carolina stage though. D35, yet you did upgrade it. From the pic, the moon roof looks bad. I do like a Sun/Moon roof though.

I saw this come up a few days ago, thought it looked familiar.

Good luck with the sale!
