Motor knock gone. Just needed to tighten the torque converter bolts. Yay
Getting started on the jeep again, my son has been bugging me to take him out in it.
Have it torn down, here is the plan:
Clean mud off of everything.
Need longer rear shocks, through floor and mount to cage cradle.
Replace anything with a bearing on the front of the motor: water pump, pulleys, etc...
Have a better top made for it.
Add some tube steps/tree rails to the rockers.
Finish tailgate and tonneau cover.
Replace fenders, for the 3rd time. Making some changes to them this time.
May make another hood for it.
How did you de-roof it? Like I did mine?

Gut the interior, and Rhino line the interior
throw her up on the lift and undercoat it so she dont rust anymore
3" lift either Rusty's or Rough Country, cann't decide
replace all steering companents
Get some 31's and start wheelin
Rusty's. I've seen a 3" Rough Country leaf pack sag immediately. Thing went flat. Of course they have excellent customer service so they sent out another set right away. Though they're the identical, the owner hasn't put them on fearing they aren't going to fix the problem.Rough country.....
Their springs are fine, i agree but the rest of the stuff is lacking in the actually use it offroad department.
Control arms, track bar, all that stuff. THey have gotten better over the years but i'd still go with RC, then again thats just my opinion, don't have to listen to me!What is the rest of the stuff?

-Ironrock Offroad steering
-front axle shafts with bigger u-joint
-Smitybilt 8000lbs. winch

-Rusty's Double Shear Track bar
-D30 Lock-Rite
On the list for later this year another front HPd30 to build and a rear 8.8 with disc brakes
Search some reviews on the Rustys track bar before buying. I would go with TNT Customs or Rough Country personally.
