Shit why do people always think I dont have a SYE. I'm not a newbie to Jeeps! Anyway I guess this weekend I will be putting on a different set of shims. I thought I would be close my brother is running 8* shims on his YJ.
The reason why people are assuming you have or don't have parts is because you fail to fill us in. let us know about any mods you have. the more info you can give the more we can give in return.

So what degree shim should I use for 6-6.5" of lift. I jsut added 6* shims to my 4.5" lift and I have a lot of vibs. I am going to 6.5" lift this week. Would 6* shims work for 6" lift better than how it rides now.
here is how this question should be asked.
Hi i have a
year/make/ model with a ___ lift which has settled out to about ___" i have a ____ t-case with a ____sye. the angle of my drive shaft is ___ and the angle of my pinion is _____. i currently have ___* shims in and am still getting vibes. my u-joints are good and the drive shaft is ballanced. how can i measure to get the correct shims.....
but you leave us with tooo many vairiables so even the answers you get will be off.
so here are some more questions for ya
1 are you sure you u-joints are good?
2 is the driveshaft ballanced?
3 are you sure it's the DS vibrating?
4 what type of suspension do ya have in the rear?
5 are all flanges/ yokes tight?
6 can you take a picture for us?
7 what is the pinion angle?
8 what is the DS angle
