Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Finished a trailer hitch install and got the rear bumper back on...mostly. Replaced the front speaker so I have tunes. And most importantly, rigged a relay for my HVAC blower motor so I have heat this winter since my switch/wiring was cooked.

I worked on my basement mudroom for the Mrs. Hoping to gain brownie points for hunting season.

Went to the race last night with my cousin, and spent a rainy cool day inside today being lazy.

730am flight to CA tomorrow to start another long week...

I went to Gulches with my club and some folk. Broke the bolts off in my steering box first trail after I got it off the trailer but got that fixed and really enjoyed the weekend. No impressive body damage but I did win a $100 VISA gift card in a raffle so that was neat. Help recoup some of the price of a new steering box.

I was with these guys. Broke the plastic double beadlock right off the trailer. 1" ratchet strap saved the day and I got to wheel some. Greenie went too and was driven by Glenn. Was a great day. Sunday leaving the GF house after helping her do some work there found a flat tire on the trailer. Got almost home with the plugged spare before it blew. Put the spare with a slow leak on to get the 8 - 10 miles to the shop.... I need two trailer tires and to remove the plastic beadlocks before I can go wheeling again......

Yea you use these PVC inserts over the magnesium ones. I'm going back to the Magnesium ones on the shop floor. Glad I did not try and sell them. I'll post up pictures when I get around to swapping them out.

No that is the runflat part that you cut off that I burn. It's not worth anything but fun to me. The beadlock however could be used by another.

Bought a winch for the MJ and got it installed this weekend.

12,000 badlands from Harbor Freight. Has good reviews and was on sale for $399 plus I had a $100 off coupon so I got it for $299!!

Hopefully this one won't wet the bed in Harlan next year. (although that other winch was old and crusty to start with)

Tore my dash apart and figured out the reason my blower motor wasn't working is because the resistors got hot and toasted the switch... the little terminal that the green high wire plugs into got so hot that it burnt the silicon terminal board, melted the connector, and then burnt up about another 3" of insulation. Got a new switch today and installed it (used electrical tape to keep stuff from shorting out temporarily), will have a new pigtail later this week. A/C blows not great, but okay, heat works great on high.

Went camping with my family this weekend at a State park in Lincolnton GA.

Kids had fun.

Ran across a deal on CL on Friday, dude got back in touch with me on Saturday, I went down to Augusta to meet him on Sunday.

(Glenn is going to be mad at me.)

90% tread Cooper AT3 245/70R16 on Liberty "Mesa" wheels for $300 and an old floor jack that I didn't use anymore. It was quite convienient since I was already half way to Augusta from where I live.

This guy's driveway was interesting.

The goods:

On the wife's Jeep.

MUCH better than the old steel wheels and crappy GY Wrangler tires that you can see on it in the first picture.

Now, I need to locate some adjustable lower control arms for my Green Jeep so I can put the WJ arms I have on her Jeep so they stop scrubbing when she turns really sharp.
