Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Better end to a shitty day.

$130 from amazon. 40"

I need to replace some u joints in my driveshafts. One of them is seized and doesn't have a zerk fitting the other grease seal broke off the CV joint and I think if I run it up front it'll separate under full droop.

Had any problems with that light bar? I want one and the ones Amazon sells seem reasonable........but have heard some sealing issues with them. I would like to get one, reseal it nice and tight with some kind of sealer, and see how it maintains the seal. I already have wiring from the police light bar that once sat on top of my XJ.

I just put it on last night. I took it all apart and added some red LED strips to the bar to make it glow at night. If you take one apart you will not be able to get the small weather stripping back into it, I don't see how it is physically possible to squeeze it back in so it'll need something. Mine doesn't usually see the rain or anything.

I'm thinking a couple light bars are in order on mine too.

Same. I would like one forward facing and either a smaller one on the back of the camper shell or two spotlight style on the back corners that I could pivot to illuminate any area around the truck.

I just got my new single row in the mail. It'll mount under the short hoop (About 2" higher than it is in this picture) and the small one will go on the back somewhere.

I put two new u joints in my two front shafts. I have one with the grease seal collar that is busted off of the stub end and the other needs a grease fitting drill and tapped in it since it was frozen to the longer part of the driveshaft.

First you flop it, now you're breaking shafts.

How long before it looks like Doug's Ugly MJ? :D

Finished a headliner install over the weekend. It looks pretty good. Just one corner where the fabric got bunched up working around the contours of the sound bar.

The new fabric is a little darker than OEM so the speaker grills and light surrounds looked really odd, so I shot them with some slate charcoal colored rattle can pain. Without the flash on, in just ambient light the paint matches the OEM trim around the headliner pretty well. I'm happy with it.

Off to powder coat with the JCR guards tomorrow morning. I was going to try to color match, but on the OCD possibility that it is only a 98% match and not a 100% match, I think I'll go with a flat slate grey instead. That way there is a little contrast versus the stark contract of solid black, and still make the color palate look intentional.

Headliner looks good! Where did you get the fabric? I've got to do mine also...
