Im in the process of buying our house from our dick head land lord. I would love nothing more than to punch the dude.
Yeah man...i'm tired of throwing rent at something that isn't mine. And now that i've been renting a house for over a year, i've got way to much crap to go back to an apartment. Time to get something that I can call mine.
Going through all the fun processes of seeing if I qualify for the one i've got my eye on. What areas are you looking at up there?
We are looking around High Point. We both want to stay as close to work as possible...but it seems everything around here is sky high for not very much....might have to venture out a bit and get some land and not be right on top of someone...I just hate the thought of that great fantastic high point traffic at 5:00.......
I little piece of advice that I can give you ( I have been prequalified and given a interest rate) see if the house to like is a USDA approved house....if so, you can get 100% financing.
KP just left about 30 minutes ago. He came over and we swapped out the heater core and evaporator coil. I had the dash stripped, mostly. We had it changed out and had all the dash pieces replaced in about 3 and a half hours.
There was a ton of antifreeze in the bottom of the heater box and the old parts looked pretty rough. Not a job I want to do every weekend, but not as bad, or as intimidating as it sounds on paper.
I hate working on 96's. It's always a crap shoot as to what type of sensors it's going to have on it.
And they weren't afraid to mix-match in 96 either....
I have a SB 2.5 MJ sitting in my back yard with a new looking muffler and tail pipe on it.
My 4.0 XJ trail junk has a FM40 that's dangling off the back and no tail pipe.
I'm brokish.
I wonder how close the tail pipe would be to fitting on the XJ from the MJ...
Should be near identical, no?
Not even close. Hangars are completely different, the hump for the rear axle is way off, etc. You may make it fit but it's going to involve a lot of hacking up tailpipe.I have a SB 2.5 MJ sitting in my back yard with a new looking muffler and tail pipe on it.

Traded for some 36x12.50 TSL radials. Oops

Nice.... It's like pouring kerosene over the fire of parts breaking
Better save up for a trailer.....it's on now![]()

It's a cheap part that's still available for MJs brand new from Walker though, so I won't feel the need to be mean to you for cutting up MJ parts... :lecture:
You're correct, of course.
I climbed under earlier and looked at it. There's a brand new muffler on it with a turn right on the muffler. No tail pipe on it either...
That'll be fine. I'll just rob the muffler and put it on the XJ.
Now I'm wondering if a straight piece of pipe will fit over top of the cross member without having the factory bend in it. Mines rusted in half right at the cross member.
Also, I pulled the leaky wheels off the Jeep to have them fixed. Left it sitting awesome. (Notice the jack sunk 4 inches into the ground. I didn't have another 2x6 handy...)
