When I ran the warehouse for the Italians, i'd have to take the propane tanks for my forklifts up the road to get filled 1-2 times a week. Our company vehicle was a VW Passat Wagon, and when that wasn't there it was my RSX. I had similar pucker factors when those things slammed around in the trunk....

Ohh i hate 276 to brevard, even on a bike, i bet that head and skid was sliding around like crazy.

I found it to be quite a fun road actually. Had a nice little waterfall to stop and look at, and there were some parts that had some snow on them once I got closer to the parkway. Plenty of fun curves to have some fun in too

Got the jeep lifted enough that I can drive it without eating the fenders in every turn. still gonna do spacers and shackles, but I'm gonna hold off until I can afford an adjustable tracbar. anybody got a used one laying around?

Spent 4 hours yesterday getting the stock leaf spring off the passenger side, the front and rear bolts were seized in the sleeves, i had to hack up the spring ends and cut the the bolts, then i welded nuts to the stubs and backed them out after heating them up cherry red with a torch.
What a PITA that was but the good news is, no busted weld nuts and i only have to do it one more time on the drivers side.

Enjoyed the awesome weather this weekend by doing an oil change and wash to the DD, and walked through 5 houses today with my Realtor. Found one I really like....hope to have a better idea later on in the week if I want to make a run at it.

About the only constructive thing I got done was using 2 rolls of orange marking tape measuring out where I want the Dozer guys to clear my new yard in the woods.

Changed the zerks in my ctm's and greased them. Adjusted the draglink to center the steering wheel. Changed the front diff fluid. Adjusted the swaybar links for less torsion. Flushed the coolant and serviced the system. Found 4 way valve leak. Greased the driveshafts and the long arm joints. Pulled the front 7100's, brass wheeled all the rust off of them, painted them silver and put them back in.
Pulled the cps to replace it, but the one I got from the parts store is for a '96. I apparently have an older wiring harness, so I need to get the right one from the store. Sometimes having a '96 is a pain.

I hate working on 96's. It's always a crap shoot as to what type of sensors it's going to have on it.
And they weren't afraid to mix-match in 96 either....

yep... 95/96/97, mix n match connectors.
Always check the connector on your sensor (round pins? flat pins? weatherpak style or the later style?) before buying a new one. I've been burnt on that before.

Yeah man...i'm tired of throwing rent at something that isn't mine. And now that i've been renting a house for over a year, i've got way to much crap to go back to an apartment. Time to get something that I can call mine.
Going through all the fun processes of seeing if I qualify for the one i've got my eye on. What areas are you looking at up there?
