Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Yeah especially for the front left. You can get a preflared line almost exactly the right length.

Also if you unbolt the line from the body right after breaking the flare nut loose you can probably save the line by turning it instead of the flare nut, then get the nut unstuck from the tube with brakleen and put it back together as you wish.

Question For you guys......
I have noticed lately that my steering wheel is almost completely turned to the left when driving straight. Steering also feels a bit loose. I had my jeep aligned back in February, but now it just feels sloppy. Can't really tell if its just out of alignment....and don't want to take it anywhere because they will tell me that it is...and I don't want to waste $80 if that isn't the problem. I have looked for cracks in the frame by the gear box and haven't seen anything.....
just trying to pinpoint this down....PS fluid looks fine as well as pump....

I have a similar issue, unibody is solid, tracbar solid, thinking my power steering pump is on its last legs. :(

As such, upgrades will be in order.

The power steering pump provides power steering, not wheel placement. I don't think a bad pump would cause the steering wheel to migrate away from center. That's a mechanical issue with either the linkage, the box or the parts of the jeep that the steering system mounts to.

I broke shit in Harlan!

I don't think anybody left Harlan without having some sort of issue/breakage during this year's trip...

I thought the 2011 Crawl was one of the best wheelin trips i've ever had. This one was even better! Can't wait to do it again next year!

Hmm sounds like me 8 years ago!

just finished rebuilding my front driveshaft, and put my taillights back together after screwing them up a bit on my last wheelin excursion. also noticed a slight jump between gears while driving today, and checked my trans fluid. i added a little bit and it's fine now. i figure that isn't too bad since i've had the jeep a year now and have never checked it. next week i'll change the fluid, filter, and pan gasket, and finally install my RV trans cooler.

No, a bad pump would just make a mess under the hood! :D

Yeah, even the heated seats in Brad's new truck weren't working correctly! :D

Sounds to me like a bent or worn track bar or drag link.

I bent my drag link at NACFest and the first thing I noticed was that my steering wheel was nowhere near centered. Second thing was that I had a SIGNIFICANT amount of toe-in and it made for some very funky handling.

My draglink/tie rod/TRE's are all less than 2 years old. Trac bar is a little older...haven't had anyone turn the wheel while I look yet, because my girl is the only person I could have do that right now and she would manage to run me over somehow......

hoping the steering box isn't going, although would be nice to upgrade i guess..... Might just drop it off at the shop sometime next week and see if they can just look at it.

It's age really doesn't make a difference... Is it bent?

I'm sure your woman could handle turning the wheel back and forth. I have my 7 year old daughter turn the wheel back and forth for me...

Managed to get the new exhaust manifold on the wifes ride last night.

Now, I just have to finish putting all the other stuff on it.

I HATE swapping manifolds!
