Got the Jeep back on the road yesterday. Removed the dead electric fuel pump, cut off the tabs that held on the regulator, sanded it smooth, cut a round piece of aluminum and installed a bulkhead fitting and a couple -6 fittings. Ran a line from the fitting straight down inside that can thing to the bottom for a pickup. Left the screen on the bottom. Put in a universal sender. Now I just need to get my digital fuel gauge installed.

So which wire is the sending unit wire in the plug for the pump/sender on a 97? I could just run a new wire, but why not use what's already there?

The pump wires are orange and black iirc, they are the heavier gauge ones at the bulkhead. The other ones (they go through their own rubber grommet) are the sender. Look at the harness and follow them - they end up going to the ecu not the dash on 97+ since the entire cluster is run by ccd bus, so you might be better off just running your own wire anyways.

he's running a swapped v8 and IIRC cut up the stock pump unit to run an external then pulled the old junk out of the tank

I knew about the swapped 350, wasn't sure what was left in the tank since he said he dropped the pickup hose down into the metal can thing at the bottom, which made it sound kinda like a stock 97+ sender assembly, just with the FPR bored out and replaced and the pump + filter sock gone. I'm kinda confused about the whole setup :looney:

Scored some Durango Bumpstops at the pick and pull today

welded tabs from the stock bumpstops to them and bolted them up...

I got like 7 happy birthday texts/calls
Not a single present not even from the gf
kinda pisses me off considering I bought her a 6k WJ for hers and she got it like a week early
Now I'm sitting at home alone cause we were going to go out to eat but she invited her friend/roommate I can't stand so I didn't go I told her f it I'm not going
good thing I got a 6 pack of BL platinum and a case of ML
Ill be okay
