Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I painted my sliders on Avon. Painted the middle hood black. put my pink fluffy steering wheel cover on, Painted Mrs Crawlers sliders and stiffeners, mounted 35" KM2's from the Rubicon on her jeep since the rubicon is going to get built up next year.

Drivers seat mounted temporarily...

I don't like where it sits with the electric brackets. Going to the PAP tomorrow to try to find a manual one.

Mounted the 200FF Hella's on the front of the DD. You certainly get what you pay for in lights. Those things are BRIGHT! No more need for headlights.

Put a 258 back together last night.... Fought with it for 3 hours but the vacuum system is all kinds of screwed..... Whoever put the weber kit in it routed all the pcv hoses back to the manifold so now its building tons of crankcase pressure and blowing the valve off and generally running like crap.... Tracking down a vacuum diagram and rerouting the whole vac system tomorrow

Hit some black ice this morning on the way to work. Put a dent in the front bumper and cracked the grill on the Ranger. Sucks to be me right now.

Picked a trailer up from a very generous friend at 8am Monday morning and spend the rest of the day moving into a house with the help of some labor from another generous friend:

I've moved at least once a year for the last 4 years...you'd think i'd be used to it. Not this time! Pretty sure i'm more tired than I've been in any previous move.

Now time to unpack everything so I can find all my stuff!

At least it's just a Ford :dunno:

Main transportation that gets 25+ mpg. Can't afford for it to go down. Thank goodness the truck still runs and drives, it just has a black eye. Looks like Mark and I may be making a run the Express Pull N Save to look for a bumper and maybe a grill shell. Money I didn't have to spend.

Sorry to hear about that glad you are ok....

Let me know when you'll be there. I have some Christmas money to spend. If I can get away I may just meet you there.

the little ones that hold the U-joint in? Buy a spicer kit 2-70-18X, comes with two new straps and 4 new bolts. I'm sure some place around there stocks them, they can't be only a US item. They are like $5 a kit stateside.

Drove from Columbia SC to Bham AL this morning from 4am to 9am.. dropped dog off, dressed up for work and drove to work.. its 2pm.. im fighting sleep!
Coffee and candy not working! I need sleep!

Haha. Sure sure. I spent four weeks and 10 stores looking for the right bike tube. 4 weeks and 8 shops plus the Jeep dealership looking for ATF III. Auto parts stores? They don't exist here. And no, I'm not joking. Stereo wiring harness.......ya, good luck with that. I've been to three "stores". All closed for coffee breaks.

Yes those are the bolts I need. I guess I'll just buy the new kit if they are only $5. Thanks.

yeah but you get siesta's from 11 to 2pm.. and you get the best coffee and those awesome pizza's with peas and squid on them! Man i miss Italy!

I got the 96 "Dual Diaphragm" brake booster installed in the MJ today. I just need to bleed the brakes and check for leaks.

I was able to eliminate the load sensing valve, the MJ proportioning valve and add a XJ proportioning valve. The install went smooth. Here are some pics;

The booster

The old prop valve, notice that unlike the XJ prop valve there are 4 lines connected to it, the one at the front that I am pointing to is for the load sensing valve. You have to use a XJ prop valve when you eliminate the load sensing valve from the rear. It will not work correctly otherwise.

Taking the load sensing valve out requires that you use a XJ proportioning valve and use a coupling inplace of the "T" at the load valve. I also removed the unused brake line that was there for the load valve.

I eliminated all of this!
