Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I'm thinking about committing to a slightly cooler DD myself. It'll be a nice truck tho.

I got a new job today so I'll have a few more dollars to throw around.
congrats!

My new job is a bit nuts but at least I make more now.

Very true. This one comes with a nice office chair and desk.

The problem is justifying a new truck when I need a new house worse.

Now is the time to do the house. If you can get the loan. House prices around here are somewhat low but not like the national average. Problem we have here is too many people with way too much disposable income that like to buy real estate and sit on it till they get what they want!

Me too, but its a 97 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT! Still has AWD and I can AutoX it.

Just did the ol long arms this weekend and yesterday. This thing fought me from beginning to end. But here are the end result as of this morning.

Still need to adjust upper arms. Get an alignment. Setup some bumpstops and get longer brake lines.

Nice to see another good looking XJ from Dawsonville! What long arm setup is that? Looks kind of like the RC one.

It is the RC one

Just painted it white. RC 3inch springs with budget spacers and a bastard pack out back. RC 9000 series shocks.

me likey. how much all that run?

^ what he said get a house and buy a cheep truck and just pay for it..... I'll never go in debt on another vehicle again.... The next and only loan ill get is for a house and ill continue to drive vehicles I can buy outright... Besides when you rhink about where you and your family spend your time, the decision becomes a lot easier

couldn't agree more.

I bought my house for cash too at a huge bargain (paid less than most people would put into a down payment on a decent house around here.) Now I am just dumping several mortgage payments worth of cash into it every month fixing it up... but no man and no company can tell me what to do or when to do it. I'd rather live in a falling down shack and be able to say that than have a landlord or a mortgage company calling the shots.

Debt is the biggest problem facing this country, most states and towns, and most people today. I refuse to take any more than I already have for almost any reason... I am not playing that game unless my health/continued existence are at stake.

The bad: I lost my teeth and no more taking long ass breaks at 4am.

Trust me. I agree with you both completely. I currently live in a house that my grandparents allow me to live in. If there's one thing I've learned is that debt is bad. I've paid off all of my student loans and have very little debt. In fact, the only debt I have is the 200 bucks or so that I haven't paid on my credit card this month yet.

When I say I'm going to find myself a truck it'll be one I can pay for with cash...

When I say I need to find a house I mean that I need to start looking for a cheap fixer upper double wide to stick on one of the 200 acres that my family owns around here long enough to get financially stable enough to build a house. I'm only 25. I've got plenty time. I just need something that's big enough to hold my entire family. 4 people in a 1 bed room house is quite cramped. ;)

For the last 2 years I've had a bunk bed in my living room. My living room doubles as my 2 daughters bed room but hey, they have a roof over their head and it don't leak. :)

It really suprises me that when I tell them they'll have their own room soon they tell me they don't want to move at all. (Might have something to do with the 52" LED TV in the living room. lol) They want to stay right here.

I love this land, I love this road, I love this whole county. I love being able to go outside at noon in my boxers and piss off the front porch. lol

As far as I'm concerned I'll never move off this tract of land but I have to do something with this house. I'd add on to this house but in my opinion it's not worth adding on it. The house is good shape for it's age but it's not something I want to sink a bunch of money into...

You should come visit me when I'm in Aiken next time. Mom and Dad redid the house they lived in when I was little. It was built in 1908 and when we lived there it had three rooms, a hall, a kitchen, and a bathroom added onto the back porch. They had to take it down to the frame but wow its really nice now. That house is on 48 acres that was my great grandfathers land too. I know how you feel about that! All my family knows that hill is where I want to be buried.
