Weekend is over...what did you get done?

You can pretty easily narrow them. I did one on my old Offroad trailer a while back.

This was a Dexter 3500# axle, with electric brakes.

I turned it down in my lathe so it would fit inside the axle tue again.

After it was all welded back together. Take note of the built in camer of the axle, you will want to leave that in.

and I miss your garage... It may be time for another trip to Hotlanta.... and meet the little girlie:viking:

Damn Stump, your trailer has a cooler suspension than my Jeep. I stopped by and boought the steel to start building this thing. Ill be basing my trailer off a military trailer design. I found some drawings of a M100. Id love to find a RTT but that's way out of the budget at the moment. Right now ill just build crossbars to carry the Yaks.

Went on a minication this weekend. Left out early Friday and met Matt at work in Knoxville to pick up the axle, then headed down to Cullowhee/Sylva NC to see a buddy and go fishing. That we did! I skunked everyone the whole weekend, even managed to catch one without using my line :) Saw a net in the river, grabbed it, and it wiggled!

Also managed to stop at Pilot for a new Firestik antenna, Bass Pro for a Fishpond pack and some ammo, and Gander which I managed to get out only with a new Carhartt wallet. Not that there is anything left to put in it!

Valve cover gaskets on mom's Jeep, BBQ Festival in Lexington, and a bonfire at my buddy's lake house with a few good friends and several good beers. Pretty good weekend i'd say!

got my frame stiffeners welded on. started on the new-ish axles to go it.
u bolt eliminators came in, got lower link brackets in.
still waiting on my clocking ring

Thought my power sterring pump was going out on the trail rig. Went to PAP and got one and swapped them out. While I was at it, I added a power steering cooler, used to be a tranny cooler on an explorer. Got it all buttoned up and drove it down the road. I still have the same "tight" steering wheel. Apparently it wasn't the pump??:dunno:

I can sit in the driveway and turn the wheel lock to lock with my index finger but when driving it down the road it feels like the wheel doesn't want to turn. I can't make subtle corrections going down the road. I'm sure it looks like I'm drunk, weaving in my lane. Maybe the box is going bad...do they do that? It's not leaking so IDK what the problem is. I'm sure the 37's don't help but this is something that has just started happening. It used to drive just fine and has slowly gotten worse. Any ideas?

My CJ7's steering box was worn out and it would cause the jeep to shift lanes even though the steering wheel was straight. I wouldnt doubt that it is worn out as well with the 37s adding strain to the box. slap on some 33s or lesser taller tires and take it for a spin. See how it drives with streetable tires.
(slap on clrustys stockers he had)

could very well be the box.... is the fame shifting? sams frame was shifting a bit i think it spit one of the little internal supports. i added more bolts to the bumper plate and it helped....

where's your caster at right now btw?

I emptied a couple cans of paint on my cage. I HATE painting tube! There's overspray EVERYWHERE! Now I have to go back with thinner and take it all off.

Tons more stuff I'd love to do.

This wisdom tooth extraction is kickin my butt.

its like painting coils.. such a waste of paint! are you putting a back window in?

I'd look at the box Mark. My buddy just had to replace the one in his stock WJ last month. Got to the point where he couldn't turn left anymore, that's how tight the steering was.

Nope, gunna brace up the roof and cut more of it off and make a tailgate of some sort. Then when I have more moolaa ill completely redo the back. Still no window tho.

i decided to wheel it till the back looks like a pretzel then i ll tube it.. for now..i need to save moola and get Trailer!

no need..i aint got no money.. im playing catch up on truck payments right now!
