finally went to URE for the first time. got a little lost but did get to it. first trail we hit was 96A loved it. jeep did great. great weekend. didnt get any great pics of me.

Thursday - Accepted a job offer for a summer internship at a company I've been interviewing for over the last week or so
Friday - Worked all day at Advance and quickly was reassured that accepting that Internship was a good decision
Saturday:
After working on the Sammi I crawled under my Jeep and my mom's Jeep to change the oil in both...nothin like getting hot oil all over you when it's 95*+ outside. Followed that day up with a trip to my buddy's lake house last night.
Today - All day on the boat. Decided to try my hand at wake boarding for the first time. Pretty safe to say the lake definitely won and I still have half of the water that WAS in the lake in me. I'm already sore and I don't even want to think about how i'm going to feel in the morning.

Pulled the NSS switch and cleaned it up. Kind of a b__ch to get off and on, and the shifter is not as loose as before.

there's a guy down the road from me with a really nice sprung over sammi on swampers in his driveway that i never see move. i'm gonna go tomoro and see if he'd get rid of it. i know my motorcycle is worth quite a bit more than the zuki, but i've wanted one for as long as i've known what they were. imma see if he'll trade.

so i went and talked to the guy with the sammi i want. it's even better than i thought! this mofo has a set of toyota minitruck axles under it! he says he'll trade, but he hasta get a new title, because with all those floods his copy of the title got wet in his garage.
the sammi didn't get wet, and it runs great. as soon as he gets a title, hopefully i'll have meself a new trail beater!

Theres a guy that lives around here with a Hayabusa engine in a samurai... It sounds awesome and has plenty power. I have no idea how he did it...
We still have our sami. I've got a 4.3 Vortec i was thinking about putting in it but I don't want to have to replace the transfer case. I got too much money in it.

Ours is a 88 year...the motor we pulled out of it was the original and barely had over 100K on it...didn't have a drop of oil in it due to the gasket for the distributor housing letting go. PO claimed it was the front seal on the tranny that went....wrong!
We had to give the motor back as that was the agreement for us getting the thing for $800....but that's fine, he can have the motor!
Plans are probably a 22RE with matching 5-speed tranny. Eventually probably a spring over set up with yota axles. We're in no hurry though..this is a toy that's definitely on the back burner and will very slowly be put together.

NOOOO WAYYY your around again. Damn I cant believe you still have that sammy! LOL we tried forever to get that thing running that day at URE about 2yrs ago. Thats the same day you broke your rear drive shaft I believe.

Started my internship today. Got to go out to lunch with the VP of manufacturing, the Engineering Manager (who's my boss) and the majority of the other big wigs of the company....not bad for day one lol. Met the President/CEO on our way out of the restaurant...seems like a really cool guy.
Now i'm looking around to see how cheap I can get a little 4-banger DD to commute in....this 51 mile round trip commute every day is going to kill me in gas. Been filling up every 3 days from empty for the last week thanks to several trips up to my parents and running back and forth getting ready for this job.

LMAO Yup, that's me! Kodak Rock ate my drive shaft. ...and I'm wearing that same shirt today. lol That was a lot of fun. I'm ready to go back out there again. I'm really wanting to go to the Crawl this year but it's not looking promising considering it's in a few days and my jeeps on jackstands with no ring gear in it.
and gah, I've got a gut since then... I need to work on that.

I wish I could. I gotta work every day but sunday... Plus, My family requires 4 empty seats. lol I'm gunna do my BEST to make it to the flog. If not then I'll have my 2 weeks of vac time Jan 1st and we'll do something for sure then.
