Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I wired my auxiliary fan into my rear wiper switch. Rear wipers never worked. This sounds crazy but I'm doing it. Ya know how you push the button down to spray the rear wiper? I'm going to make that a push button start. Sounds awesome right?
 
Saturday went to help a friend install a new engine in his XJ (he threw a rod on piston #1, block and oil pan destroyed, intake valve stem bent, hole melted through the manifold gasket for cyl #1, bits of valve, piston, and piston ring found in intake manifold as far as just below the throttle body) and arrived to find out that they'd given up as the new engine they got had a completely wiped cam. Fortunately I'd been too lazy for the two weeks since NACFest to actually take the spare engine out of the back of the MJ, so we just started prepping that one instead...

Today: picked up a d30 for a friend of my brother's, gonna install it some time this week, also fixed the 98 a little more, installed the fan shroud and discovered my e-fan was broken.

Tomorrow: work :(
 
sold my yamaha today.... bought me and the wifey some bikes we gotsta pedal, looked at xj's on craigslist, and put up a pathetic thread to try and get somebody to help me get my waggy rollin again.
 
Man busy weekend! Zj seat swap front and rear. Removed radiator, flushed it, cleaned out all fins, coated it in wd 40, flushed engine block, removed all hoses, flushed and cleaned them, replaced thermostat and coolant temp sensor. Went to pull a part with uncc_99xj and loki racer. Watched the ufc fight sat night bummed Shane Carwin didnt win. Cleaned out the pickup. And trimmed out a soffit on my house now i just have to caulk and paint it.
 
Well I'm back from vacation. Spent 7 days out at Cub Scout Resident camp, followed up by a weekend of family activites and honey do's. It was nice getting away and unplugging for the week. Refreshed and ready to get back to work on my jeep. (I was pretty burnt out on the jeep befor I went and almost sold it. Glad I didn't though.)
 
Pulled the busted ring and pinion from the D30. Now just have to get the new gears and get them cryoed then reinstalled.

Were your last set "hardened"?
 
What years of unit bearings are interchangeable with a 1995? Is the cut off year 1996? Is this the same with front rotors and pads?
 
Early 90s or late 80s (not sure when) through 99.5 unit bearings are all the same.
 
Renix are different from the HO models up to 1996.
 
Installed my 8.25 LS and some strip led's only paid $7 for 5 Led strips here is some pics of the led's

Don't know where that 96 year he quoted came from... if you have a 95 HO, early-90s through first half of 99 should work.
 
on a 3" RC lift with full packs + 2" shackle and 2" pucks.. i should be thinking of a SYE soon right?
