Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Looks good Doug! glad you are planning to put the doors back on!

i am too.... no more 24 degree days in mountain city again, plus its a cherocar, i like it to look like a cherocar. If i want to build a buggy ill just throw a chassis together and put the 4.7/aw4 combo in that.... with a 231/300 doubler of course..... you can tell ive been doin a lot of thinking tonight ;)

all righty, weekend hasn't officially started, but i've already done all i'm gonna do jeep related this weekend. i have been trying to adjust stuff on my transmission to try to get it working right after the engine rebuild, and had started getting close to perfect with everything, then today while test driving to see if what i did helped anything, the jeep stopped moving about 1/2 mile from my house. the fluid smells burnt, although it is full, red and clean looking. i let the jeep cool for 30 minutes or so, and i was able to get it back home. the warmer it got, the more it seemed to slip. so again, i get to be without a car, and ride a bike for a few weeks, while i look for someone to rebuild my transmission. anybody on here know how to do it?

I like your thinkin' on that, its a good combo for reliability. I just can't bring myself to owning a buggy, I like to be able to drive my rig on the NF trails and be able to drive it to work if needed as a back-up vehicle. I can't bring myself to towing it to the trails yet, i like the challenge of driving it there and getting it home.

i would be cool to own a buggy as long as i had a nice dd wheeler to wheel the winter and drive for fun.... ive been dd'ing courtneys yj for the past week and have been lovin the hell out of it, its a nice jeep thats just fun to drive everywhere.

Drove my Comaneer/Wagomanche down to the gas station and tire shop.
It didn't break or kill anyone:viking:

I would be driving to dinner tonight, but I needed to pull new springs from PAP so a few things still need tidying up before I drive it crosstown on I-40.

Gave a presentation tonight with one of my teams on one of the project's i've been working on. Considering i've never had to present infront of 100+ people and with a microphone before, it went very well. Definitely glad to have it behind me, but I'll miss working with that particular team...they actually functioned as a team unlike my senior design cluster (not worthy enough to be considered a team).

Working 9-4 tomorrow then a cookout at Jamescad04's house.

pics of this rig? i'm thinking mj with FSJ axles...
No FSJ stuff yet, 4.88s definitely are in the works but in the Fr HP30 and D44 rear.
Its just an XJ Waggy front end

Jeepgeek should be posting a few after he eats (how were the Brats?)

It did get a mini spool ebrake cables and a little hill climbing under its belt today.

Helped Dr_Jeep85 change out a crankshaft. Hated it but I had to take off before it was all back together, don't like leaving anyone hanging.

helped put a mini spool in Gambits(adams) MJ. then we climbed some embankments on the back side of the shop.. LTB's and mini spool kicks arse!

A few driveway poser shots but with a purpose:D

I wanted to check out the truss clearances and bump-stop settings as well as shock extension/compression. I'm leading a ride through Potts Mountain next Sunday and wanted to make sure the old POS is ready.

Everything looks good!

put a new crank kit in "little jee". thanks for helping bob. didn't quite get to hear it run yet though. by the time i got everything put back together it was about 6:00. still had to prime the oil pump and fill the trans, radiator, and put the plugs back in and maybe a few other things. i was whooped! called it quits. no worries, i'll finish in on my breaks on monday:greensmok.
