Weekend is over...what did you get done?

and she really, really likes me.......

-rear shocks changed (original Chryco units) without any broken bolts:clap::clap:
-cap, rotor, and custom wires (8mm MSD) installed to go with the last set of Champion truck plugs I had

now all we're looking forward to is a clutch and hydraulics to complete the package-- it looks like 241,000 miles was just too much to ask of the original....

I know its not the weekend yet but I've been doing some work anyway!

The old front axle is out and the new one is in. It went smooth. Some pics of the front swap and of the finished product after a long road test. It runs nice, very quiet and its nice to get into OD/TC lockup at 35 mph:yup:

radio installed- along with two 15" woofer speakers (nothing special-- just some noise makers)

A.C. charged-- cooling at 39.4* with an outside temp. of 74*-- good enough for now-- maybe look into R134a retro-fit when the "noisy-assed" compressor fails....

Yep, or Longfields, whatever you wanna call them. I have the first set as far as I know. I've been running them for about a year and a half in my old axle until I pulled them out and put them in the new one. The bracket on the rear axle is for the traction bar as soon as I get a chance to make it.

Are you satisfied with them? I haven't heard anything bad...

Absolutely, I have not had any issues. I did send them back when I first got them due to the inner shafts being cut with the wrong spline pitch, Bobby sent me a new set of inners the next day and gave me his personal cell phone number if I had any further issues. Great guy to deal with.

Installed my Iron Rock track bar today and put my old JKS on my buddy's 98 in an attempt to cure some of his death wobble and sloppy steering. Cleared up the steering issue, and helped with the wobble ever so slightly. Looking at having the wheels balances next and if that doesn't cure it, we're going to look at TRE's. Starting with the wheels first as there's a ton of weights on the right front and it feels like the majority of the wobble is coming from there, and it's at the right speed to be a tire balance issue.

Decided to head out and have a couple brews with a few friends for the evening...change of pace from all the school work that's taking over my life.

i feel dumb..... been puttin off a mainseal change in the wag for eons, went out for fun and tightened down the pan bolts in the rear a quarter turn and let it run for 15 minutes..... it didnt leak a drop on the trailer, i think its too good to be true im sure it will leak when im rompin on it but dang it would be nice if it was that easy

Well I was late to work because of an accident that shut down the highway I take to get there at 8:30 this morning. After finally getting off the highway and going the back way (which I pretty much had to go almost back home to get to) I was about 15 minutes late. Then when I get to work, I found out that I didn't get the raise I was told I was going to get. Apparently they pick the slowest month out of the year to do employee evaluations and then use the excuse "well you weren't meeting your sales goals and your CA was low."....ummmm, yeah i'm about 99% certain that this was the case for ALL employees that month. My favorite was "but you've done a complete 180 since then and are killing your goals. And even during the evaluation period, as well as now, we still have customers coming in during the week when you're not working specifically requesting to talk to you" Well i'll be dammed, guess I am doing something right after all aren't I?

I'm desperately looking for a "real job" now...getting tired of dealing with retail nonsense.

Ghost,

Great job on taking the kids fishing! My grandfather did that for me when I was a kid and I'll never forget. He instilled a passion in me and I now take people fishing for a living. Nothing like the great outdoors!

Sweet! I just ate the bass and 3 brim. Baked them in the oven with some lemon juice and pepper! Yum!

Uwharrie Trip went down this weekend, however I was too busy driving to care about pictures (didn't wanna be one of those wrangler guys who sits on an obstacle for 10 minutes for pictures, however I think my bros gf who rode in the jeep infront of me snapped a few, tried to get my spotter to take a few pictures but he is a wrangler guy and after me mocking him for waving to any and every jeep he saw the entire trip there he chose to not take pictures.

- headliner replaced in the DD
- buff and wax on the DD
- transferred a butt-ton of interior trim from parts-mobile to the DD
- removed ten tons of pollen from the big white turd (sitting with half doors for the last two weeks left it green all over)
- radio installation begins on the white one tonight, now that I collected a Pioneer from the neighbor as a "thanx" for changing brakes on his Pathfinder. I'm not looking forward to digging out all the broken wires that the radio thief left me when he yanked the last radio out last year..... I know when I taped them up last year, that some of them were broken about a foot deep into the dash:cry:

-hubs picked up, repacked, pressed in studs, and bolted on
-ground out two wheels to fit over the hubs

ready to swap it under the YJ, hopefully get to do that sometime this week if the wife will let me leave after work on night... otherwise... next weekend and it will be driveable again.

yay!

Got the bumper finished up today. Just need to pull it back off, sand it down, and repaint everything at once so that it matches. Hung out and grilled out with ckale1 after finishing up the bumper.

Good day all in all. Was nice not having to work today.
