Weekend is over...what did you get done?

well as a 2 door i have the master switches on my side for the driver and passenger windows, locks, and power mirrors. all i did was cut them and i will be doing quick disconnects i got from radio shack. im not a fan of wiring but this shouldnt be too hard for me.

and cruising doorless is wonderful. the speakers in my doors dont work so the sound door out back does all it needs to do and the road noise is no worse than windows down on the highway. im goin to start tomorrow and as i said pics to come

Yup, same thing on a 4 door. Plus, i've got an alarm/remote start on mine...that's what i'm worried about upsetting lol.

So I find out on Thursday that the guys I am convoying to and staying with at the Crawl are now not making the trip:mad:

Anybody got any ideas where I can stay? I'm going to sleep in my rig but where do I park it. We had a cabin so my accommodations just went south in a hurry LOL!

I'm a family oriented person and not into the partying crap anymore. I do however enjoy a beer or three at the end of the day and enjoy a good night sleep even better!

LMK if you have any ideas.

You can sleep on the porch at our cabin.....:D we won't be getting rowdy up there as I don't drink and Tim is quiet.....that guy from Chicago though.......he may get loud.that's just the way he talks though.

Just make sure all your wires reconncet with them self. And besure you crimp them good. Im redoing the drivers door due wires pulling out. But my test runs were promising, i had mirror and window control. So i get to redo the door when i get more connectors *yippie*:-(

Been covered up in family stuff (Bro in-law is in the hospital for brain surgery) and the new job. Sold off some gear and the motorcycle will hopefully be leaving tomorrow. That way I'll have more time and money for the jeep!

Spent the weekend in Mississippi with my parents and the girls. Saw a few guys with Rzr's and lifted JK/TJs and spoke to them about wheeling.

I got a definitive answer to stay away from the Barnyard in Fulton MS. I'd been thinking about going down there. Apparently it is mostly guys drinking beer, driving trucks on tractor tires, trying to see how far they can go before getting stuck. Not my cup of tea. Glad I found out before I rough rode the XJ all the way down there.

Took all 2 lane highways back home. Took about an extra hour, but saw a lot of Tennessee I hadn't seen before.

Finished up the axle dolly on Saturday. Went and did some shopping Saturday afternoon with a couple friends from Myrtle Beach area and then dinner that evening. Helped a different friend with a project she could not finish alone on Sunday. Returned to her house on Monday and trimmed some trees that needed to be trimmed. Sat in the Lazy Boy last night watching The Next Generation episodes on Netflix. Was a decent weekend.

Took Friday off to have an even longer weekend, and got a bunch of errands done that I haven't been able to do as a result of heavy work travel...including updating my concealed permit. Now that it's valid again and i'm done moving around for a while, i'll be putting it to use very shortly.

Cousin came to town Saturday to hang out and show off his '13 Mustang 5.0. Aside from the fact he wimped out and got an automatic, it's a pretty slick machine.

Got tickets to the race on Sunday, and spent the day there tailgating with some friends. The race went a lot longer than scheduled due to two red flags, so it was close to 2am by the time we got home...and I live about 1.5 miles from the track.

Went up to my moms yesterday to take another stab at fixing her A/C. Got defeated once again and also discovered a pretty alarming water pump leak. While road testing her Jeep, I came up on an RV that was on fire in the middle of the road. When I pulled up, the family was running out with arm loads of belongings they were trying to save. Fortunately, everybody made it out unharmed but the RV (which looked to be nearly new) was a total loss..
