Thats way different than taking a transmission from a toyota, and swapping it into the XJ

I dont disagree with him. It basically is the same trans, so what does it hurt to call it a Toyota trans? I call mine a Toyota trans all the time. Same trans that was in my exes Lexus.

when selling a chrystler product, i think advertising that the trans is basically a toyota unit is a good thing for anyone unfamiliar with these things. that's actually part of the reason i opted for the manual trans, because i was scared of chrystler reliability issues. if i had known it was something different, i may have gotten an automatic (but probably not)
