The Budget Bucket's build

Pontiac grand am vents
Lebarons fit nicely between the braces and are much larger

Both 10-12$ options from a jy
Pontiacs are easy to find

There's a lotta vents out there
I'd sell you my pontiacs but they're for the mj now

I think the labarons look pretty sweet.

Or you should save up and buy a cowl intake hood. Because racecar

Hahaha deal. But if I buy a hood... I'd have to put bigger fenders on, 4 link the rear, 3 link the front, long travel shocks, maybe move the engine back, cage etc. U know the deal. One racecar move leads to more hahah

In that case, you should DEFINITELY buy a cowl hood

so i ended up installing the light bar on my bumper, and then went wheeling to test it out. everything the truckee boys threw at me i conquered. (easy canyons) except for the last one that we got to name since we were the first to run it. Elephants Butt Hole looks like a dry canyon until you get over the natural spring and start sinking. all in all its a blast. so heres some pics for your viewing pleasure.

The toaster is looking awesome! How do you like the light bar over the two round lights?

Totally feel you on the mud thing. It's fun til cleanup. I can't count the times that I cursed my old green one when dirt or mud fell in my eyes working underneath.

Lookin good, like the light bar.

well build update again.

kinda funny how I'm building in the wheeling season and not in the off season.

anyway i bought a rebuilt stronger sye np231 awhile ago, never had time to put it in. so i finally decided to put it in, and eric offered his garage and time to help me out in hopes that i could help him with his book. i really hope i did!!
so heres some pics from the build of swapping a 242 to a 231. it was a direct swap except for the shift lights so i need to find a connector for it.

angle measurements before

phone pics got messed up in order so i think this is the 231 in place

but first let me take a selfie

gotta love broken and stuck ubolts

finally put drive shaft in and started measuring for angles

got a perfect 13 1/2 from drive shaft with a 14 front he yoke. so these degrees work perfect for axle wrap and driving, she's smooth as butter now.

after finishing the 231 install i put the small LED lights i had under the jeep. so now i have rock lights...ish. except the front one is not wired yet

so i went up to lake alpine for kev's dads birthday, missed out on some wheeling with you guys at the reno fest but i can't complain at all, had a good weekend.

testing out the new lights on slick rock

now I'm going to get flack for this one but the jeep got kinda twisted and pitted playing around at the play area and open open likes to get u stuck w no way of reverse either, so i had to crawl under and stack some rocks...do not do this at home. yes the jeep was off, brake on, and kevins foot on the brakes as well.

overall a great trip, jeep ran well, still running well, gonna be building some small things before a con trip in jully.
thanks for viewing.
