So, maybe I just can't seem to find it. Is there a thread or chart showing who holds what positions here in our great socal naxja community?

I would love to see a list of the positions, names, and what they do.

Thanks!!!!

I think we need a new updated/modern/revised sticky

That first post says that Remi is Socal Chapter VP. Is that correct? The thread is old, from 2007.

Maybe I'm just being too picky. I would like to see who does what around here, in a simple one thread chart. Basically so I know who to direct questions and comments to without bothering the entire club.

Maybe it's too much to ask.

Carry on.

I signed it with my name and title at that given moment and then below posted the info which is being updated as time passes ;) Yeah you could throw all the old stuff out but it's good to see a historical record as to who what and when ;)

Edited (But I put the correct years in, Remi's getting old and his memory is fuzzy).

LOL I wish it was old age I could blame it on... I"m blaming it on a system that someone else blew up and I was cleaning up starting at 245 AM....... this is a long day already and not getting any shorter.....

it blows me away how little members seem to know about the club they're in... is it a lack of giving a crap or did you guys just join to be members of the forum without realizing this is a functioning organization with officers and duties to the 4x4 community? I really want to know.

I joined because of so cal fest 2012. Some guy named Geoff made me pay the $65.

At the time I had no idea how big or small the club really was.

I still don't clearly see the hierarchy of command clearly, but as time goes on, I am learning.

at least you're putting forth an effort, so  for that. there are a LOT of people (not just in socal but acrosss the board) that have NO CLUE that this is a club with a forum and not the other way around. kind of bums me out.

Chapter BOD runs the Chapters but ultimately National BOD runs the overall club. Chapters have a high degree of autonomy as long as they operate within rules accepted by the National BOD.... ;)

It's pretty much exactly like our country is run: there is a group of partially self-governing states (local chapters) and there is the central federal governement (nationals). Every state has a governor (chapter president) and there is a federal president (mac 'i have no idea how he hasn't gotten sick of signing every post like this' gyvr). There are cabinet positions at both levels.

I don't know how it can be dumbed down much more than that.

I'm okay with clueless members as long as they keep giving us their money so we can use it to fund land-use groups. I'd prefer more interaction with land use, phone calling, etc., but if all we can get is money I'll take it.

I just think that if more people were involved instead of just throwing money at the issues we could have more boots on the ground so to speak... but I suppose you're right Geoff.
