Just finished up building the roof rack/lightbar thingy...pretty happy with the results, but ugh, so much time.

Wish I could take credit for the cage, but there's no way I would have had time to do it as well as it came out (nor do I have the skills to fit it that well). Enjoy pics!

Wow, very clean. Who did it?

Thanks for the approval. I did the roof rack in the back yard. Solo Motorsports in Azusa did the interior cage.

As far as the roof rack attachments go, I used 12 rivnuts into the sheetmetal. Should be strong enough to be used as a rack or as a slider if needed (odessa canyon?), but not really designed as a exocage for roll overs (if I roll it, I think a few little ripped holes in the roof will be the least of my worries :D ) Here's a pic of the style of rivnuts and tool I used:

Thats some beautiful work, im diggin the rearview mirrow and c/d pillar at the bottoms.

Any chance we can see some pics of the floor tie-ins? You gonna keep it raw?

I got the mirror at Mckenzie's for about $15 plus a couple of tabs...pretty easy.

I'll get some tie-in pics; it goes through the floor into the "frame" and rockrails at the A, B, and D pillars. C bars go into a plate bolted to the rear wheel well.

Thanks for all the nice comments...after putting so much time and frustration into getting the rack lines just right, it feels good to hear that I didn't totally waste my time :laugh3:

Looks nice.

FYI Farmboy Designs used Nutzerts for their roof rack / roof and A pillar sliders. I never heard of separation issues.
