My "Hero" Blog

Ah ok now I remember where it is. Think it goes through to just outside plymoth right? and starts over kinda by rancho murieta?

Was thinking about going out there with you guys tomorrow night too. I havent been there so where off latrobe is it? Im in cameronpark.

Ok if your coming from cameron park you can drive up to south shingle and take that all the way down. You basically take south shingle to a dirt road. Its the way i always go. But since ill be in Folsom already im gonna take Scott. Plus its less dirt road driving.. If you want you can meet us at In-n-Out before we head down to old latrobe.

Ok Kevin.. ill see you out at PC round 12:30. And anybody else who wants to head out!

If anybody else wants to meet up for PC or Latrobe wheeling/bonfire this evening/night, give me a call

still can't get one stud out...Tried heating up the cast spindle first but the weld on the nut wouldn't hold enough to back it out.

Connor, I threw the hammer out the window on the way back home so theres no evidence.

Oh the poor wittle yoat! Gotta love grade 3 bolts holding together your front end! Glad you got it all back in (mostly) one piece. You still got a steal of a deal on that beast.

I didn't get any pics of Latrobe and the bonfire out there, but I got a few shots from Prairie City. Hopefully I'll have time to sort through them today.

the bolts that sheared were actually grade 8.8 and 10.9 (metric grades). It was just dark and we weren't looking carefully enough at the bolt heads. They dulled 3 brand new drill bits.

i got a decent night pic of josh flexing. I'll post it up.

HAHAAHAHA

That was a great time out at latrobe... At least you broke right at the end of the road lol. I got one picture of the campfire but its a crappy one.

Glad you got proof that I wheel

FWIW, a class 8.8 bolt has a yield strength of ~92,000 PSI while a true grade 8 bolt has a yield strength of ~130,000 PSI.

From what I have heard, metric 8.8 is similar to a grade 5, and metric 10.9 is similar in strength to grade 8.

:D

thanks for the 411 kevin. I went out and got all new 10.9's to replace everything just to be safe and consistent with it all.

You taken the jeep to p-shitty for the vorra races this weekend? I'll be there on sunday.

Didn't know there were races out there this weekend. Ill probably come and try to snap some pics.

So heres some pics from PC the other day with Connor. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics of Connor, because he doesn't wheel and was afraid of scratching his barbie jeep. :moon:

All in all it was actually pretty fun out there. Ran the whole day with 35 PSI in the tires and still did pretty well!

I kid, I kid. He putted around a bit.
