My "Hero" Blog

Just use some "hammered paint"

Just realized I posted the same pic twice. Here's a closer shot.

Dude mine has that nonsense all over it from me cutting off a ton of mounts. 1/2" tubes I don't even worry about it.

you can fill it with weld if you want it too look pretty otherwise id say you'll be fine.

So I guess you can say I've been busy recently...

I bought an S10 with a bad trans off my old RA from the dorms for dirt cheap the other week. Fixed the trans and I've been daily driving it while I work out the other bugs. Gonna drive it till it sells. It's a 94 ext cab auto 4x4 with the 4.3l vortec.

Here's the best pic I have of the S10 haha

Then I made a deal with a good friend of mine that if he bought a dirt bike, I would buy a dirt bike too. We shook on it. Aaaaaaaand he bought a dirt bike. So I went on a search, depleted my savings, and bought this bad boy off some guy in Martinez. It's an 01 green stickered Yamaha yz250f.

Then the other day I met up with John/Seal and some friends at Hollister Hills to beat on our rigs. Unfortunately, it was muddy for a good part of the day, but we made the best of it. The highlight of my day was when I almost rolled end over end down this hill.

Here's Seal standing in the hole my tire was in. I had my sunglasses on and couldn't see into the shade there. Stupid mistake and I lost a good pair of underwear in the process.

Soon after, we decided to do the bonanza gulch trail (I think?) as it was getting dark. The trail was pure slop and none of us could make it out the end. So we had to winch 3 rigs out in the mud in the dark. That was an experience lol.

Then on the way home I ran out of gas off 101 somewhere. Calculated out to just over 8 mpgs. Rough idle. Running stupid rich. Codes P0300 P0301 P0171. Random/multiple misfire, cyl 1 misfire, and bank 1 too lean. So that's ONE OF my newest problem with the jeep lol.

And in the midst of all of this, over spring break my girlfriend and I of 3.5 years broke up. So the past few weeks have been bittersweet I guess, but I'm keeping my head up and I'm using it as an excuse to keep my head busy by wrenching, wheeling, and riding the new bike.

Sounds like you've been busy all around . Sorry to hear about the G F. The best cure for that is trying to screw every hot girl you see for the next few semesters and just play the field and date lots of messed up girls and lots of good girls and everything in between to get a good mix. Just promise yourself you wont get in a serious relationship for at least one whole year.

Hahaha i love this thread. cool toys and cool stories. hey hang in there man! itll get better!

PS i wouldnt advise taking johns advice....dats how ud get den herpetis (herpes in a really bad hillbilly accent)

I never said it was good advice. just advice. you want to get that sort of restless lady chasing out of your system now versus later in life.

Man that was one of the more fun trips to Hollister. Didn't we get out of the gulch around 9 at night? I'm sorry to hear about the girl man. It'll get better.

Hahaha thanks guys. You guys are awesome. I haven't made any progress on the jeep because I've been playing with the dirt bike. Once the S10 is sold, the jeep/fullwidth progress will continue.. After a dirt bike hitch hauler build of course.

dude stay busy and indulge in your hobbies. jeeping helps a ton.

Truth.
Kinda.
Best thing I ever did was go on a shit-ton of dates and actually give some thought to what I wanted in a relationship. Hoe'in around was fun, I guess, but I can't say it taught me much / made me feel great.
Keeping busy & taking good care of yourself (eat, homework, exercise, Jeep, etc) will make a big difference for you the next few months.
Ok, enough advice from a stranger...
