yup, thanks to a lot of good friends James put that jeep together for next to nothing. He's been wheeling it like a fiend, too.. hasn't had much choice, since he's on 32's with an open diff and stock t-case, and wheeling with guys locked on 37's with 4:1's...

Okay just to state it again, mayb ea bit more clear, maybe I'm just a jerk.. Anyway.
MOTTINO WASH IS NOT ON USFS LAND, that means not SBNF, CNF, ANF, SNF, or any othe rNF. THere is no trail number for it because the #x## trails numbers are USFS numbers.
Mottino Wash is also not in the Bighorn Wilderness area. It skirts right up to it but it is not in it.
There are a few other questions about this relatively new trail to come up but rest assured if this trail was a no-go I'd be axing this thread right now, after all I love deleting posts by Cal or Avery at every available opportunity.

What's the minimum requirement for this trail?
Can I run it on a 2" Budget Boost, 30's and a limited slip in the rear??

Coordinates compliments of Johnny. It's bout a mile and a half up rattlesnake canyon on the right.
That was a fun trail. It was 1.5-2 miles, took us a couple of hours, and it was incredibly hot. First time my temp guage has moved past 195 since I bought big bird.
See! I knew I had the right coordinates. Those guys who couldn't find it at SoCal Fest said I was wrong.

The first coordinate was nowhere near the trail. It lead to a canyon that *may* be the end of rattlesnake canyon, but Cracker hiked down and was of the opinion we were not capable of driving down that wash.
Taking 2n02 out toward yucca and then following the second GPS coord off into the desert did get us there.

That first coordinate marked the south end of Rattlesnake Canyon, where it met up with the main east-west road. There were a lot of criss-crossing trails in that immediate area, so it could be confusing.

so... would you say i could make it with 33x10.50's, 4" lift, stock gearing and open diff's f/r? and if so are sliders required for no body damage or can i steer around it unprotected?yup, thanks to a lot of good friends James put that jeep together for next to nothing. Cal is doing a wave by himself while keeping his balls cool with the water bottle. This is the best shot I took of that day.
Fantastic, spoting sitting. What is that? Driver? Passenger? more throttle or YMCA? least the balls are cool :spin1:

If you have an undying desire for body damage, sure
The stock gearing and open diff's will be an issue. So are rock rails. There are no bypasses to speak of, and the easier lines will be challenging to lesser built rigs (like mine).
This trail is not an easy trail. This trail is tougher than anything in Big Bear. Think John Bull then add difficulty. I think that this trail is pretty close to ClawHammer in difficulty, but I'll have to run the both a few more times to make sure

I would have to say 'no'. With sliders and a rear locker, you'd still have to winch a few times and be very careful to not take damage. Maybe liberal application of procomp plywood at the tighter spots.

Would a person be better off with lockers and 35's? I am locked front and rear on 33's, were taking this trip later this year..
