Llama Build- Slowly....

Not yet, hasn't reoccurred as loud since throwing some MMO in it. The oil pan bolt is stripped so I'll need to tap it or replace it and that's not sounding like fun. Plus I've been dealing with an unexpected break up. Finally gettin my head straightened out and trying to keep busy.

Well my turn for an accident. Guy pulled out in front of me. Everyone was ok but I'm pissed since I may not be camping tmw and the front passenger frame may be bent. Is this year over yet?

Sorry to hear about this chain of misfortune man. Glad the accident only took a frame rail, and it sounds like you're in one piece. Hopefully you can get it back on the road!

Well I'm still taking it to Pleasanton tmw. A come along and a tree got the fender and front end out I my tire for now. Will need to plate it and build a bumper now. So much for gears this year! Ah and the new tow brackets I just installed!

But seriously, its just stuff. I can replace it all eventually. I'm very glad no one was hurt. At least I could drive mine away and the claim may be enough to have a shop repair it. He was at fault 100%. If he had pulled put a split second faster my bumper would have been in his driver door window... :wierd:

SO do you think they will total it and let you buy it back? Whats wrong with it? pics of the affected parts?

I'll put a pic or two up tmw. The damage overall is minor to me, but the outside frame rail where the bumper attached is bent inward. I'd need to straighten it and plate it before it would be safe to mount a bumper or tow hooks again. Fender is bent and my indicators are cracked. I don't think they will total it, if they do I will buy it back and have a friend in sac help with repairs.

there are like 3 or 4 pick n pulls in Sacramento, did you check inventory online?

Not in sac yet, they don't seem to say if they're auto or manual at the ones near me. I'm still having trouble getting a clear answer on if an auto column will work or not. As much as I enjoy a manual, I kinda wish I had an auto now simply for the easy junkyard parts with how many are out there.

Ya good point. I mostly see autos, but there are a bunch of XJs out here at the stockton blvd yard and the rancho yard on sunrise. ill try to stop by there this weekend if I can get time and see if there are any manual columns.

Turns out they had sent it to the wrong address and decided not to inform me of the return... Called and complained a little and it should be here tmw or Saturday. Got my glass in and have been looking at alarms to install. Really miss driving.

Putting in the seats I picked up from zachandy the other day and was figuring out how to run power to them. Is this the stock connector for power? Or can I splice the power into these?

Got it in!

I'll connect all the wiring tmw, too dark outside now and my work lights are in storage. Next is driver seat, battery, and installing a kill switch.

So after all the work, it's going to be total loss from the accident in December. Any suggestions on how to get a little more out of the insurance? This sucks.
