Knucklehead's blog

Just don't paint the urn red. Jax might come back and haunt you if you put him into a red Jeep. ;)

LOL, i could never do that to my best friend!
the hood is blue, but i'll repaint it green as he loved hanging out in the back of the green heep.

btw, It was really upsetting me when I thought I would not have the ashes from his whole body, but Diane had previously had them cremate his leg & return the ashes to her, so he can rest in peace complete.
I miss him so very much.
RIP Jax.

It's really nice that Diane had the foresight to do that. He will always be with you in memory at least. And he will be remembered by many of us who had the opportunity to meet him either at a SierraFest or at the fun factory.

Hey Tim, thanks for letting me tag along with you guys yesterday. Let me know when you have another build day at the "fun factory" I'll see about swinging buy and burning something in.

no problem Karl, glad you & your lady had fun.
i can't imagine how loud it was for you driving back to SJ without the muffler.
watch the sierra chapter sub forum, I frequently have build parties at my house/shop.
pretty sure i'll have one in mid feb after KOH.

i am slowly recovering from losing Jax. yesterday was the first jeep related day i have had since he has been gone & it was pretty tough on me, i really miss him being in the back with me & hanging out in the fun factory.

Man I thought Big Red Looked familiar! You brought me new bolts when my steering box bolts broke in my old XJ. You seriously saved me that day, I owe you big time.

i remember giving you the bolts, you were pretty stuck out there.
glad i was able to help you out.

If' I'm not mistaken, the sliders on Big Red in that pic are the ones I have on my heep meow.

late notice, but the fun factory will be open tomorrow as 831xj & moparmansfield want to stop by & turn some wrenches.

Woke up this morning, had breakfast, surfed around craigslist, saw this & bought it today.
It's a 1990 Fruehauf 53' semi trailer.
Will come in handy when we move to Oregon.

Will your CTD handle that beast? Haha.

Jax sticker is very cool. The trailer is very cool as well. What an amazing piece to own.

Where in Oregon are you moving? I'm thinking of Oregon too but just a cabin in the forest for a few weeks a year.

i have a house, shop, & large metal pole building on 12.5 acres in a forest in Cottage Grove, about 20 miles south of Eugene.

so just for fun I bought this last Friday....

5.08 acres of riverfront with a nice house & 36x48 shop building (my future fun factory, but it will more than double in size first)

The best part is that it is only 1 mile from taco bell! mega-win! :rof:

This was the house that started my obsession with wanting to retire in Oregon. We have been trying to buy this property for 11 years now, been in contract on it 3 different times, & finally worked out all the issues. Got it for a shit-ton less money than I offered back in 2007, so glad they never accepted that offer! greedy seller, their mistake cost them (and saved me) over 260k
