Renix coolant temp sensors

I want to make this post to clarify the Renix coolant sending unit and sensor (have also seen it called a knock sensor. I need this information currently so it will help me as well as others because it is so mixed and scattered.

The coolant sender on the back of the block is the one that sends the temp to the gauges. That one every one seems to agree on and is okay with. If any one has a part number it would be nice to have.

The other one is on the driver side kind of down on the block closer to the front. This one is the temp sensor and it sends the coolant temp to the pcm which also plays a part in the high idle problem it seems a lot of people have. Does anyone have a proper name for this, as well as a part number. This is the one I need to currently replace.

• NTK CTS (block temp sensor)- 73875 EF0072
• Temp Sensor Gauge(in the head)- ECH TS6655 (NAPA) This is for a gauge cluster it will not work for a warning light.

My cousin is a Jeep/Chrysler tech, over the years of owning my rig these are are the part numbers that would be used by a dealer mechanic to replace all RENIX sensors (per him looking them up for me at the stealership). Some dealerships will luck into NOS MOPAR parts but if not the order of makers used by the dealership is NTK, then Echlin.

• NTK CoolantTempSensor (block temp sensor)- 73875 EF0072
• Temp Sensor Gauge(in the head)- ECH TS6655
• Oil Pressure Sensor Gauge- ECH OP6762

These parts are for a 4.0l Renix, I have no idea if any are compatible with the 2.5l
