Keeping A Low Center of Gravity.

And i didnt know it was a law you had to have armor?

NO, its not a Law but it is Common Sense. My Stock height Jeep had more armor than a Stock XJ would ever need. Good thing it Did because It saved my Ass last week.

I just havent had time to put them on yet. i need to make some brackets for them. I just dont see why some people thinks its a must have to do crawling? I have only hit the side on my passenger rear door and broke a tail light luckily. but havent hit anywhere else... well except for tipping it LMAO

im starting off with sliders and front bumper. my buddy wants me to go ahead and get the TNT frame stiffener's first before i install sliders so we can just weld brackets directly to the frame stiffeners. and jcr offroad has some upper quarter panel cover's that cover all the way up to or including the tail lights and are 1/8" sheet steel that start at 160 for the set then they have a set of lower 1/4 panel guards that are 3/16 steel that are only 69 dollars... so i'll prolly start with the lowers and get the uppers when needed =) and my aunt is giving me a factory front skid and factory steel bumper cover hopefully i'll be fully hooked up by the middle of next year... i'll be sliding over everything then =)

Depends on the trails you run.
There are trails I can run without touching any armor, then there are trails I run that the armor is not just protection, it;s vital to to getting thru... and still tear up sheet metal.

I'd say breaking is worse than getting hung up...If you get hung up you might be able to back off and try again. Depending on what breaks, you could have a costly repair/extended stay on the trail.

This is a 3" lift, with 50% thread on 32x11.5x15 bfg a/t's. No fender trimming

Looks good and all but it just won't work, hit the fenders(and flares) front and back, gunna work on cutting up a few stock flares to make it work, and probably some used fenders. I really like the stock look so thats what i'm going for besides the big ass tires

And just a little food for thought, the chrome steel wheels(imca stock car wheels) on top with the 32's weigh 59lbs each

The black 16 wagons(Black Rocks) in the bottom picture with the ~35's weigh in at 90lbs each

Being that i love cone chasing in my car, this is a pretty crazy increase, i don't know how the imca's would hold upon a trail, but i sure do like the lbs alot better, because to me unsprung weight is god

Dude yes an thier actual height from top to bottom even in that pic is also more than 2.5... have you ever used a tape..i know what 2.5" is and that aint it...damn
actually if you compare them to the exhaust pipe, they just might be 2.5"

Thanks Billy. He appears to be saying that picture right there is with the stock and saggy springs, yes?
pretty sure... check the negative arch on the rears

with some inspiration from our friend KTM racer i am about halfway through my low cog build
new wheels are at the shop getting bead locks welded on, 35x12.5 km2's from work for a steal of a deal
got my prothane and energy bumpstops here ready to install
gonna be about 4.5 inches on 35's
cant wait

your tire's and 2" lift look weird... i expected 31's to look.... bigger :dunno:
this is a 4" lift on 33/10.50's with stock wheels and trim

fully loaded with camp equipment and new custom built spare tire carrier(so it sags a lil bit in the rear, but its a better side shot)

wrench monkey, i felt i cut and folded my rear fenders really well and when i looked inside my rear quarter panels there were still small holes where the saw went a touch too deep :dunno:
