GUNS & AMMO

Went to our local Friends of the NRA fund raiser last week and came home with this little gem from one of the raffles. Not a lot of fire power but probably one the best 22 semi-autos manufactured. Best part is the kid and I can shoot this one all day long without breaking the bank.

Strange I see the pic just fine. Loaded it directly from my album on the the NAXJA site. Anyone have a suggestion as to where I am going worng.

Actually a Ruger Mark III pistol.

Oh, cool. I've been wanting one of those too. Although I still sort of want the SIG Mosquito or Walther P22. My Walther G22 has been functioning great and both my buddies with P22's have had great success with theirs.

I've got a Mk III standard 6", good little pistol.

Edit:

I recommend you grab one of these for extended shooting sessions. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=42103/sku=930-000-122/Product/Mag-Latch

My dad had the 6 inch barreled version. Always enjoyed shooting the pistol. Great little gun and rugged construction.

Yup. Kinda a bitch to clean the first half a dozen times or so but it gets easier.

BTW I have a Hogue grip on that in the photo, makes it feel like you're holding butter (except the cats don't come over to lick your hand afterward).

I do like th grips they look real comfy. Even funnier I just happen to be wering one of my favorite t-shirts that says "I love cats I just can't eat a whole one by myself".

Hogue makes the sweetest grips. Good lookin' .22s back there. Going tomorrow with the FIL to pick up a Walther P22. I'm sure he'll be happy with it.

Grab some of the higher velocity Federal rounds to run through it first. You might need to break it in pretty good before you can run the cheap bulk box stuff through it.

He's buying it used. I'll ask the PO about how many rounds are through it. He said it's only a year old and it's been collecting dust for a while, so it may be quite new yet. But, I'll make sure that we just run the hot stuff through anyway.

Once I finally get my ccw in mail im thinking this will be a lot easier to conceal than my cz. Any of you guys have experience or personal notes with the kahr's?

I had a cw45. I liked it a lot. I liked the feel and fit of it. Also liked how it fired for a compact 45. The thing I had issues with was it didn't like hollow points at all. No matter what brand they were I had several failure to feeds every time i shot it. I could of had a bad one but I didn't want to deal with it so I sold it. A lot of people online have had really good luck with their CW's. I am happy with my PPQ now. Also I bought mine when they first came out. I am not sure if they have changed or have different Generations like the glock since they came out.
