GUNS & AMMO

That's why I haven't been looking for a *new* SU-16CA. They're nifty but over priced.

Those are the ones I am talking about, the used ones seem to be more than the new, cause you cant find the new..............

Yeah I agree with you a nifty but the price due to the under production crap is old. I think they would be a great rifle to throw in the back of the lock box just in sted of my $1200+ AR :patriot:

What do you guys know about Howa rifles?

Went to Machine Gun Tours today and spent a good hour talking with them about suppressors and stuff. They had an AUG Steyr A3 there, holy hell did I like the feel of that weapon. At just over 2k$ its definitely pricey, addd another 300$ almost to convert it to the NATO stock so you can use standard STANAG/AR magazines and its even more pricey. That said, if I were looking to buy a SCAR 16 or ACR, I'd take the AUG. Field strips faster and easier than an AR, quick interchange barrel, and even adding a suppressor to the end of it the weapon is shorter than a 16" barrel AR. Also the shape of the stock is similar to the magpul buttstock, and it just fits your cheek so well.

I'll most likely be going to them to get the SKS barrel shortened and machined, then I'll be going with a SureFire flash hider/QD end for my future suppressor. After talking with them I figure for my multi-platform QD can I might as well just go all out and spend the money on the SureFire. Its over all a better product and when you're looking at dropping a good 1000$ on any of them, plus tax stamp, whats a few extra quid? My bolt action and P22 are getting Thunder Beasts though.

I'm pretty sure my next gun is going to be either a Remington 700 or SIG 556R, but as I already have the SKS for a CQB type weapon the Remi will probably win. Its also cheaper, but not once I add in a nice quality scope for hunting.

This is my new duty gun with new light. I effing love it.

Is this the duty gun you HOPE to use? Or did you get hired and this IS your duty gun????

Did you get that Erie job?

Hope you found/can find a holster for that set up. Tac light holsters are few and far between unless it's for a Glock. My 4.5" XDm .40 with TLR-3 duty gun combo doesn't have a holster available. I had to modify THE ONLY HOLSTER AVAILABLE for a 5" XDm with an M-6 light/laser set up.

Can you make your own? My buddy has started making holsters and its pretty sweet. You use the gun as the mold so its a perfect fit.

don't see where the flashlight will be a big help' just carry the pistol and a big 6 cell light in the other hand so then you can beat the shiet out of the offenders ,And did you get a job as a cop yet???

This IS my new DUTY gun! I got the job and started last week! I guess they thought I was worth hiring even with all of my cross dressing and make up use.

I was able to find a holster for it. Safarilad makes a holster for the &P 45 with TLR1. Its not the kind of holster that I wanted but it was the only one I could find at any of the shops where the PD has an acount set up.

The light will be a huge help considering I'm the new guy and have probably at least 3 years of graveyard shifts ahead of me. With a mounted light you have a hand free to open doors, reload your gun, operate your radio, pick your nose and scratch your butt.

LOL at Jim's "sometimers"......

Congrats Mike! Hopefully my reference helped out in spite of my revealing your skirt-wearing tendancies...... The guy I spoke to there sure seemed to think you'd be a good fit out there.

Gimme a call if you get frustrated with the FTO program..... I can talk you through it.... :D
