GUNS & AMMO

I actually spent the time to research the trigger fix for my Sigma .40 this weekend. Two minutes of searching, 6 minutes of work and I had a trigger with a significantly lighter pull. Rapid fire is quite a bit easier now. It made the weapon quite a bit more fun to shoot.

Got the opportunity to introduce a friend of mine to the sport of shooting yesterday. She fired my .380, .40, .22 rifle and .243 rifle. She now believes she should get a gun. I encouraged her to do so.

I love taking people who are afraid of guns out and changing their mind.

My sister in law was married to a guy who had some serious mental issues. So much so that he eventually OD'd to commit suicide. A month or so before he died he pulled a gun and threatened to kill himself in front of his wife and three kids.

His oldest daughter who was about nine at the time (she's now 15) has been completely afraid of guns ever since. A few weeks ago I finally talked her in to shooting while we were camping. Now she is no longer afraid and wants me to take her out shooting some more.

I feel like I've one a major battle.

That is a major win! My girlfriend was also afraid of guns until she attended with me a friendly MWC gathering called Pig Gig. Pretty much a hog roast with guns during the day, hog in the evening and fire and beer at night. She was reluctant, but once she got behind a scoped Marlin 22, she couldn't quit killing paper.

Huge win. Congrats on showing another person the empowerment and positivity of shooting.

So went shooting for the first time this week. I know just haven't had the chance to till now. Anyways I shot a .22 ruger and a .357 magnum. It was a awesome! And I can't wait to get one of my own.

Hell ya kiefer!

Just got the new stock for my ak-47. holy adjustable awesomeness and better overall feel. Hoping to put some rounds through it soon.

New shtuff..... Only multiple mount point stock that doesnt drill straight into the stock. This this is super secure. Gave me the extra length i wanted. Its about 1.5" longer @ full extention than last stock. Overall length is just at 37". Has the recoil absorption (sp?) kit as well. Cant wait to shoot with it.

Thanks, I didnt get to shoot it too much, was spending most the time with the marlin minus the scope so was trying to get the sights sorted out.
We had a fun lil pistol contest between us all, only recorded the first few runs so no good vids.... My best was 6 rounds on target @ 10yrd in 2.76 seconds. Not great. But getting better.

Anyone have any spare reloading eqpt laying around? I'm just about to get started with reloading 9mm. I need some typical accessories. I will buy new, but I just remembered this thread and thought I'd ask. Looking for a powder scale, 9mm case gauge, primer flip tray, small primer pickup tubes, brass tumbler/media separator.

Been spending some time with my R700, getting pretty acquainted. Made a 200yd shot on some tannerite at Festfest in Missouri a couple weeks ago.

It's fairly dialed in, I'm just trying become a better shooter. Though it does need some accurizing.

One of these day's I'll adjust the trigger and pillar bed the factory stock before I jump into the $500 world of Bell & Carlson and detachable magazine.
