I can shoot all day long and not waste my miata funds! That is in wyoming, our camping spot for the miracle mile. I couldnt tell you if that was thursday or friday as it was all one long arse day.

uh oh... you said a bad word... I hope Mike doesnt catch it.

Which 700 do you have?
SPS chambered in .243, factory ADL stock, 20" varmint barrel.

Considering bedding the factory stock (edit: guess I already said that) and spending much more money on a .308 but I'm also considering building a bullpup SKS and sporterizing a M91/30 all while knowing that I absolutely am going to build an AR.

And what was the bad word?

Nothing... if its used responsibly. There has just been alot of careless use and he's really mad about it.

I was just givin ya sh!te about it. I've yet to shoot it but it looks fun.

Oh, it's a good time. We do use it responsibly. They recommend 100yd minimum distance, we abide by that.

Here's Josh's shot. Guess I should have zoomed in, but I wanted to show the distance.

It's better in full-screen.

is the tannerite set up by that tree? cause thats the problem out here. if people want to be dumb and shoot it from 5 feet away - well thats natural selection and their own fault. but when they're blowing things up in extremely dry areas and causing fires, CO goes up in smoke.

It's way down towards the bottom of the hill near the tree line, pretty much center screen. That is a vid, btw.

If you did this in CO, id probably punch you in the face....for multiple reasons....just saying.
You could try... Anyway, I did it on private property, with landowner's consent and supervision at a distance of 200yds. Everything was legal and safe. I don't understand why you have a problem with it, but as far as I am concerned, how you feel is really no consequence to me.

oh ok. i didnt realize it was a vid.

problem with it is like i said earlier, out here in CO, the environment is alot different. that vid looks like everything is well hydrated and green. Not the case here, and we have a ton of idiots being idiots, not just with tannerite, but guns in general. we're all seeing an increase in people enthraled in the "cool factor" of targets that go "BOOM" and in result, responsible shooters are loosing public ranges and getting a bad name. Its no different than people destrying trails and OHV areas and giving responsible wheelers a bad name.

Plus its overwhelmingly illegal here. no earthen berm behind targets. looks like trees or brush behind.the targets. also illegal.
its the stupid shit like that up here that causes fires or people to get hurt. Didn't say id win, but we would not be friends, and i wouldst give two shits. keep that shit in your state.

If there has to be an earthen berm behind targets and no trees or brush behind targets, how the hell do people hunt in your state???

Seems pretty heavy handed to me.

I understand your position, but where I did it, it is legal. I grasp all the concepts at hand as far as dry land, etc. goes. And really I was shooting into the bottom of a valley. You can't see that there is a hill right behind the trees.

What I don't understand is that you wish to inflict violence on me over something I did legally in another state by happenstance if I had done it in yours. I take all aspects of the law seriously and wouldn't do what I do at home somewhere else just because it's legal where I'm from. Even further I don't understand how we can't be friends because the laws are different from your state to mine.

And the indoor hunting pic made me chuckle.
