Please crawl back into the hole you have been hiding in for the past few months.
Reindeer said:Musgrave is behind in the polls. She does not have the support of her constituents. Social conservatives and Christian voters are abandoning the Republican party because of the many scandals.
Musgrave says that she is defending marriage, but quite the opposite is happening in Fort Collins, Colorado where her district is.
The largest threat to marriage is none other than divorce, and the largest cause of divorce is from financial stress and poverty.
Fort Collins leads the _nation_ is foreclosures of homes, and is leading Colorado in the number of divorces filed. The threat to marriage and family in Colorado is very real, but families are plunging into poverty by policy makers who are busy sending jobs overseas, closing factories and polarizing wealth by giving tax cuts only the the very wealthy. Musgrave believes that the rich are not quite rich enough. Musgrave believes that attacking a minority will change the subject and distract the voters from her dismall record. Musgrave ignores the fact that the voters are concentrating on two issues, the failed policy in Iraq, and the failed economic policies locally in her district.
Marilyn Musgrave has proven that she herself is a threat to marriage because she is a threat to prosperity for the working people of Colorado, and the voters will not let her forget it in November.
No wonder Musgrave is trying to change the subject and blame others.
I work as an election judge, and I worked the primary in August.
One woman who is a self professed lifelong Republican asked me if she could cast a blank ballot to send a message to the Republican party that she is disgusted with them. I wonder if they got that message. I sure did.
Musgrave is toast, as is Tancredo and Beauprez.

planefixer said:A lot of jobs are leaving this country, not necessarily overseas, but to other countries in this hemisphere because of good ol' Bill Clinton and NAFTA.Lets elect the Dems and watch as the largest tax increase in U.S. history happens (talk about financial stress)and the war on terror is abandoned.Lets get Ritter in office so he can set all the criminals free (as well as give free reign to all the Illegals) and take away our right to have guns.I'll admit, I'm not real happy with the Republican party right now but the moronic ideals of the Dems scares the hell out of me- they dont even have a legitimate platform to run on other than blame Bush/Repubs for everything that is wrong.I still have yet to hear one single solution/alternative from the Dems to solve any of the problems they're bitching/blaming about. They're all talk and no substance.
The future looks bright- not.
Reindeer said:It's over for Republicans, and I along with millions am going to laugh my ass off when you all lose the House and lose control over government.
Reindeer said:Musgrave has not created a single bill.
Anyone can cosponsor legislation, but she has done nothing to help the poor people of Weld county, among others.
Musgrave has not secured water rights or water storage for farmers, even though experts have repeated said that this is the largest problem for farmers who are the predominant population of the eastern plains of Colorado.
Musgrave has ensured that mortgage rates have skyrocketed, pricing many right out of the American dream, thanks to her support of tax cuts to the richest people on the earth, causing the average loan buyer to compete with the federal government for loans.
It is Republicans who have raised taxes by dramatically increasing both individual debt and the government debt. Current debt for the federal government is over 9.3 TRILLION dollars, after giving the richest people on the earth the Clinton created surplus of 11.2 TRILLION dollars.
Taxes have already been raised because prices are being raised by climbing interest rates, causing the cost of money to go through the roof, increasing the poverty rate dramatically.
Clinton pulled millions of people out of poverty.
Bush/Cheney are putting millions in poverty, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of people abandoned in the Gulf Coast by a Republican congress that ended funding for the Clinton created levee project.
I am no fan of NAFTA or of the other Republican sponsored bill called the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Both were bad bills, and both have destroyed families in this country. You are under the mistaken impression that I support everything that Clinton did.
Dems will be forced to fix nearly everything, including reverse the lousy policy of letting corporations not pay anything in taxes by moving operations to the Caymans or the Bahamas or wherever. I notice that you don't mention this, and with the corporate welfare and stupid and mean spirited tax cuts to those who don't need it, the treasury is not only empty but America is deeply in debt to the communist Chinese and the Royal Sa'ud Family of Saudi Arabia.
How is it that Republicans are okay with having the communists and the wahabiist radical muslims have control over our economy? I don't get that.
Ritter has an excellent record. Denver has a high crime rate because Republicans have controlled Colorado for four decades and have destroyed the economy here causing the poor to result to selling drugs, weapons and identity theft as a way to pay the rent and get food. Democrats will have to fix that disaster as well, thanks the reckless management by Republicans.
It's Beauprez that is the criminal, illegally using a law enforcement database. Beauprez should be in jail, or out on bond for his crime. Beauprez himself voted to secure the national crime center database, and then lied about his vote. Coloradans will hold him accountable for his lies.
You have deliberately lied and skewed the Democratic Party platform.
There is no agenda for gun control as you suggest. That's a lie.
There is no agenda to raise taxes. That's already been done and is not a part of the Democratic platform. It's a big lie.
There is and agenda to START the war on terror which the Republicans have done nothing about since they let Osama bin Laden and Simon al Zawahiri escape from Tora Bora. The war in Iraq is NOT part of the war on terror, it is a distraction and deliberate chaos to keep global corporatists in power one year before a national election. Now that the American people know that the Bush crime family lied about the reasons for going to war and lied about the ties to al Qaida, it's over. You Republicans have also lost based on severe levels of corruption, perversion and cover ups. You have dozens of people in high leadership that are either in jail, in drug or alcohol rehab, on the take, or under indictment or investigation.
It's over for Republicans, and I along with millions am going to laugh my ass off when you all lose the House and lose control over government.
Once that happens, we are going to send all of the crooks to jail and start the process of fixing the unbelievable disaster that Republicans have caused, and then rebuild the Republic. If you don't know about the Democratic Party platform, it's because you can't read or want to lie about it. It's been published for quite awhile now. Read it if you can.
http://democrats.org/agenda.html
In stark contrast, the Republicans have reneged on every single part of the Contract On America:
http://www.house.gov/house/Contract/CONTRACT.html
The only part of this comprehensive Republican lie is that Republicans AND Democrats passed the COPA or Child Online Protection Act, parts of which were deemed unconstitutional and unenforceable because of the vague and overbroad language of the bill, and the first amendment right. The bill wanted to censor certain words like "breast" from being allowed online, which would have meant that women who are facing breast cancer would be barred from that information. The conservative high court threw that part out. The other parts stand, which is a good thing since it will most likely send Mark Foley to prison when Democrats regain power.
Every other provision of this broken campaign promise has been flagrantly abused.
"FIRST, require all laws that apply to the rest of the country also apply equally to the Congress;"
Then Tom Delay should be in jail, along with Bob Beauprez, Mark Foley, Bob Ney, Ralph Reed, and many many others. The Contract On America is a joke and a nation disgrace. You had your chance. You had more than a decade. It's over.

I couldnat have said it better myself...there are too many things going on in the world right now to make gay marriage the top priority on peoples list. My views are more liberal but i refuse to be labeled a democrat and I am not a republican either. I do not like either term since there are idiots in both categories...Dirt Surfer said:I'm going to say a couple of things and do everyone a favor and shut up. Planefixer, nothing personal. We probably have more in common than it appears. Other than the fact that you are a Blood, and if you forced me to choose between the 2 I would have to go Crip. I felt a need to say that since you have a gun with a scope and I don't.![]()
It's election time and I get suckered into these stupid debates. My opinions are meaningless except to me. The issues are errelavent. I'm really frustrated with our leadership. Both parties. I would love to do away with the 2 party system. I think it is safe to say that we can all agree on some issues. I want to be prosperous. I want the freedom to make my own destiny. I want my tax dollars spent wisely. ( I would even be willing to pay more if I could count on that) I want affordable healthcare and a good retirment plan. I HAVE the right to protect my family and my home. I want my borders to be secure and to be able to help our niegbours if needed. I want to do my part to keep this incredible country going. If we could agree on those things, maybe we could make some progress.
Instead what do we have. Oral sex in the White House. A crack head for a D.C. Mayor. Enron. Katrina. Iraq. Haliburton. Exxon. Foley. Abramoff. The National deficit......Oh ya, and as the only standing superpower, and leader of the free world, half the World despises us. But let's not talk about that. Let's all be outraged, pro or con, about two guys kissing and wether or not they can get married. It's so rediculous!
I believe this country is being run in to the ground by our politicains. I beleived we have lost our morals and values. The Religious Right is the last place to go look for them. I think greed has taken over. I know with our form of Government that there will always be some corruption, but it has gotten really bad. But I'm just an idiot with an opinion. Oh ya, and this is a Jeep club. My bad, I forgot.
