Replacement leather upholstery?

Does anyone make OEM pattern replacement upholstery for a 2001 Limited with the low back seats with separate headrests?

All I really need is the driver's seat bottom and back. Everything else is in fine shape but the driver's seat is a disaster. I do have a local shop that is willing to replicate it but they want a significant portion of the XJ's value to do so, was wondering if there were premade kits from anyone that followed the OEM pattern.

This isn't super urgent as the seats are about the worst thing about my new XJ. While I've been picking away at most of the issues and have got this thing pretty much in shape - I still need to address the OHC/dome lights and probably want to replace motor mounts and fan clutch - both front seats have the rear adjuster nonfunctional and the bun warmers are throwing an error on both, aside from the driver's seat having had its flesh ripped by weasels.

If new upholstery is off the table, are there any aftermarket seat covers for these seats that don't look too bad? I have the agate colored interior.

You might try calling Richmond Auto Upholstery in Texas. They don't show anything for Jeep, but they certainly do upholstery for American cars of that era. Perhaps if you explained to them Jeep made interiors with heated leather seats they might look into it.

I think I paid something on the order of $600 for both the driver and front passenger leather factory repro seat covers for my '02 Suburban. I also bought some upgraded foam seat bottoms at the same time, so I am not sure how much just the leather covers cost.

huh. I looked up Richmond Auto Upholstery and they DO have them... but "synthetic leather"

Looks like it'd be a bout $600 for me too, but that's about what used seats cost on eBay... what to do? I'll have to think about it.

If I decide I'm putting covers on anyway, pleather won't bother me.

If you get a synthetic butt, you won't even notice.
