Cage construction

Now I've done it...

I've already tore into both axles.
Although it is not clear yet if they end up as 5 bolt or 8 bolt pattern axles.
But they both will be totin' 40's.

For now the cage will only be modified to accept and support the axle/tire
configuration.
Although it would be nice to build a buggy from the ground up, now is not the time.

HOLY bat chit..Looks alot better than it did last week.. So these are what i got from you on the for sale tread? Front and rear axles..:D

Didn't you say these are 5 on 4.5

Going over to the dark side...........

He got totally spoiled, and totally hooked, last weekend driving Matty's new buggy.

He's a goner. :D

I don't know if I should start a new thread, or just add to the old one.

It is time for a buggy build...

This build is to provide room for running 39.5 IROK's.
For those who have been paying attention, I want to move the radiator to the back, so off come most of the front.

The old cage will go, replaced by one with better protection and added structure. I'd like for people to see the new rig and be able to recognize it as mine. So, I'll be keeping the rear section of the cage for now, well, at least keeping the look of the existing rear section of cage.
Budget has dictated that I will be keeping the leafs anyway.....

Those tires are gay but will sure look good under your ass... uh, wait a minute... :dunce:

Unfortunately I'm going down the same road but I think I'll hold off on the rest of the body removal untill I get the new rear axle and suspension installed. I just wanna wheel. ;)

I hate not having a rig to wheel with.
Heck, even my son's rig blew its transfer case over the weekend, so all I have right now is a bone stock '88.
Uggghhhh!
More motivation to work in a garage that is over 100* inside.
