Looking good. I do have a suggestion thou.

Your rear shackle angle needs some work. The way it sits right now it will limit droop, kill ride and fight spring compression. It looks like the upper mounting point needs to be moved forward about 3" to 4" to correct the shackle angle. About a 30-40 degree rearward angle should work great. It will help flex and performance dramaticly.

Your rig makes me want a tubing bender even worse now. I have one XJ that needs a cage and another that is going to be my parts XJ, but it would work great for a build like yours.

When I get back from Big Bear the entire rear section will need some attention. There is a lot of sheet metal that just ain't right. At that time I may either completely replace the RE pack, or just modify the location.
But I do know what you mean.

Rick

you know, if you just leavethe doors off it would be much easier to get in and out when its in the trailer...
of course your so damn skiny that it doesn't really matter.

I couldn't get the F*ing brakes to work on the trailer....so.....I now will need to take both the full size trucks along with the small enclosed trailer just to get most of my crap up to BB for my vacation!

Items left behind include my son's CR 450F, my Yamaha scooter and the Jacuzzi!!

Still had enough room for the Fat Tire and all the cabinets for the kitchen remodel.....

See some of you up there and the rest of you out at Lucern on the 11th.

My cell # 760-415-9859

Troy, you going to manage to make it out to BB at all?

Oh, and there are some other advantages to having a lift in the garage..

STORAGE!!

OLD AGE!!

AND MONEY!

That looks like a nice trailer. What is it? Interior width?

Can't be that heavy if you've got a Ford pulling it. :shhh:

Which trailer? There is four...

The big enclosed trailer is a Carson Racer, 24' X 8.5'...it usually hauls both the dune buggies out to the sand.

I was looking forward to bringing only the one truck and hauling everything in it...but nooooooooooooooooo.

Oh well, I'll still be on vacation for the next two weeks!

Rick

Having just returned from its two week long maiden voyage I gotta' say...
it did every thing I asked of it and it did it very well.
Drove it around town for two weeks and didn't get any tickets (I was even followed by a Sheriff for a couple of miles too.)
Crawled John Bull without any difficulties (hey, its as hard as Big Bear gets.)
Ran down in Lucerne at full throttle for miles on end and it handled like a champ.
I'll get some picts posted tomorrow.

Rick

Got up early again to mount my tires to the WE wheels and found what was making all that noise in the rear end...

NBD, But the wheels sure look purdy now.....

I gotta' get moving if I'm going to make to JV tonight!

Rick

I may not make it....I'm waiting for my engine builder to get home, he was supposed to meet me at his place by 10:00. Now I'm over at a friends house in Santee waiting for his call.....:banghead:

I could still make it if this guy calls within the next half an hour or so.....

Rick you HAVE GOT TO MAKE IT. PERIOD.

Opie and his hunk-o-junk are questionable because his clutch is a POS. Hopefully it makes it too. Tranny is still out in his rig and we need to leave in 2 hours!

You dont have an option on making it or not. :)
