5th Annual Reno Run (Official Event thread)

Jon, text me when you guys leave your house on Friday. Ill see if I can load up my people and meet you guys on the road. Would meet at your place but thats the wrong direction for me.

yeah we can meet in auburn I was thinking at the In n out burger at highway 50 where it meets 49, on the hill after going under the freeway.
 
Im assuming you mean 80 and 49. I plan on just drive the speed limit when you call and wait for the group to catch me on the fwy and then join the convoy.

Planning on getting the jeep rolling some time tonight and take it in for an alignment tomorrow hopefully. Also hoping that my airsoft bbs will be enough to offset my new rock rings so that I can drive the speed limit... Fingers crossed.
 
I meant highway 80 yeah


I will be happy if I can safely drive 50 mph without killing myself.

We are in the RV Group site. Per the campground website, check in time is 12:00, so we might not officially have access to that site until then. I am going to try to be there before then and will be posting a NAXJA sign so you won't miss it.

Coin-operated showers are available so bring quarters.

We have again reserved a group campsite at the Davis Creek Campground just south of Reno. Here is the location on Google Maps. This year's group site is not the same as last year. This year we have reserved the "RV Group Area" which is within the actual campground, much larger, and more convenient. You can camp in a tent or RV and there is room for tow rigs / trailers. We will be camping 3 nights: Fri, Sat, and Sun. Monday is pack up and travel home day.

If the run doesn't start until 6pm on friday we will have some time to get there but we probably don't want to leave sacramento any later than 2pm thats fore sure.

I'm planning to hit Sac around noon as well. I'll let you know if anything changes.
 
Directions to Davis Creek Campground:

From I-80 merge onto I-580 Southbound towards Carson City. In about 20 miles you will take Exit 50 (Old US 395):



Davis Creek Campground will be off to your Right.


Tried to get the pics from last year too but I couldn't quote the post since the thread is locked

Yea possibly on Friday! You guys arnt going 50 up though through south lake so i dont think that will work very well...Let me know though!

Yea originally I was leaving from the bay but stuff got cleared up so im staying in south lake Thursday night.

If I can limp it there I can use AAA to get home...
 
So I am going to reno fest. I was going to the con originally but I don't trust the weather. So I will be taking my dad and my Gf on some of these runs.. Are the run times and places set? Also will I be able to do the harder trails on Saturday?
 
Jeep mods are Oscar approved.

Probably going to hit the road about 10 or earlier. Should make it to jons by 12. Have some doors for kevin i need to drop off for him.

Definitely want to make it to the campground earlier than later. Need to unload the jeep and set up camp before the run.
